I was just speaking with a major local Salisbury Business Owner who was wondering how the Recall Drive against the Mayor was coming.
This particular person can't afford to get his name out there in fear of retaliation from the Mayor and expressed concern from other business owners having the same fear. So what do they do?
Their biggest concern is the tax increases that weren't necessary, yet the Council and Mayor have said nothing about pulling the increase after finding $10,200,000.00, not including the other $8,800,000.00 from the Water and Sewer fund they so conveniently found after Councilwoman Campbell questions these balances.
It seems like I, (Joe Albero) am the only one not afraid to confront the Mayor and believe me, even though she can't harm me business wise, she does cost me money through attorney fees to protect me against lawsuits.
I'm not so concerned about that. I'm more concerned in stopping her from hurting others who cannot afford to protect themselves from this kind of retaliation. This is what my Blog has been all about.
My hope is that they are doing a good job with the Recall Drive and they succeed in taking Barrie Tilghman, Louise Smith, Gary Comegys and Shanie Shields out of Office and turn the City of Salisbury around.
Think about it. How sad is it when big local businesses are afraid to step up to the plate simply because this Mayor could easily destroy their business. Are we to now go in fear every day like we lived in some communist Country? This is America Ladies & Gentlemen and something must be done about this right away.
Recall these people and this time GET OUT AND VOTE!

Ok, Ok, seriously now, there is protection in numbers, every name on that recall list is protected. If anyone from that office was to retaleate anyone on that list, there would be serious Federal investigations applied, and would be easy to prove, even if they were no longer holding a government position.

That was why the money went missing so they could get the increases in tax. They do not intend to refund it.
Joe, we are waiting for the petition to come by here so we can sign on. It is bad that local businesses are affraid of retaliation if they sign on the petition. I still hope they can get enough qualified signatures to get the job done.

I am ready to sign....but who is taking the petition around. I live and own a business in Salisbury...and I am NOT afraid to sign. The Mayor has not done anything to help me so why should I continue to help keep as Mayor! Or whatever you call her!!!!!!!

Those who are waiting for someone to bring it to them should call Jordan and help him circulate it. The petition last year failed because not many residents could be bothered to circulate it.

After the reaffirmation vote if she it is decided by vote that she is to be recalled, there will be a special election in which anyone can run and she can run again trying to hold onto her seat. She has no pride so expect to see her run again.
"the real world", she got 1 person who constantly stud up to her....out of how many? Did we learn from the mistakes? Jordan left his email in some older post. Email him an ask him where you can sign, he could prolly use some incouragment. She'll prolly slap you with a 20% increase next year, as a going away present.

I don't live in SBY, but work there, and have seen the city officials regularly act like they make rules up as they go along. AND, if that weren't enough, each office makes up rules different from those of the office next to them. It's amazing to us that they're both power hungry and inept at the same time. Sign our name? ARE YOU CRAZY? There are still some officials left to deal with. It would be suicidal to sign our name.
Your exactly right 12:33, your way of thinking is what I've been banking on for several years now. Theres just too much to do and to many of us {I mean them} to remove from office. There will be another tax increase soon but you can start sending yours this week. It's only 20% on top of your current taxes and make it out to cash. P.O. Box Mare Fund
