Know Where The Adult Entertainment Could Be In Salisbury
The City of Salisbury finally got their language together following the lead of other municipalities and found territories in which Adult Book Stores etc. could be located in the City. The pickins are slim but you should be aware of just where they might go.
So before you make an investment into property anywhere around the City, don't say you weren't warned ahead of time.

600 + acres is TOO many to allow for these businesses, imo.
If possession of porn is against the law, why is it so easy to obtain?
Last week, the "DD" story chat administrator chastised a user for announcing a website for perusal(about the "recall", if I recall)and yet in this article's (about sex shop r & r) blog allowed links where you can purchase sex toys. I don't get it. Maybe you can't keep adults from these choices, you don't have to promote them, either!
I attended the February meeting that introduced all the "buffer zones" for these type of stores. It was mentioned that the free speech rule of thumb regarding these store can be limited to about 5% of the available county space w/o running into possible legal issues down the line.
I have to say, while I don't want these stores in the area either, I give them props for being so "creative" when it came to buffer zones. be happy that it is only 8%. The guy who presented the map had to include not onlt the obvious (schools, churches etc) but he started stretching it with crazy stuff like wetlands etc LOL....
Finally, the locations that WILL be allowed to have these types of stores will most likely have ratherr high rents. The days of the cash cow video peep shows that drew in every closeted married guy in town for a little happy ending, are not allowed any longer, so I doubt many stores could afford the rents.
Porn is not illegal.
If there is a business opportunity that people want to persue then let them, this is America.
Thank God for Larry Flynt and what he did for each and every American.
If it were not for that fat pron producing smut peddler our blogs would not be allowed to way what they say....
We would be subject to Church Censorship.
Do I want a porn store or a tittie bar across the street from my house?
NO!
They are better than having the drug dealers who are backed by the Pocomoke City Government....
