It's strange to think that many of the people reading this Post have never experienced a Drive In Theater. These photos are of the Theater in West Ocean City on Rt. 50.
I'll show some additional photos in another Post as to what's going on with this property now and I'll show you what has grown there.
Today I'll head out to the old Drive In Theater in Delmar, DE. Do you know of any other places that may still be sitting there doing nothing? If so, let us know.
OK, now don't lie. How many of you stuffed people in your trunks going in? How many of you lied about the age of your children? DON'T LIE!

There is an active- and very popular Drive In Theatre in Dover, DE, right on Rt. 13. AWESOME PLACE!

There is one here in Pocomoke that is now used for impound vehicles.
We tried to buy that one outside Ocean City for years but none of the agents who had a sign out never called me back.
It's really weird but typical of my experience dealing with realtors.
The one in Dover is soon to close!
I am telling my age but I saw the movie Ole Yeller at the drive in theatre in Pocomoke....ahhh, the good old days....
Drive In Theaters are a flash from the past, but I guarantee, that if one were to open in a central location it would be packed. There is absolutley nothing for kids to do here, and a drive - in is a great biz idea.

I can't believe it!
I bet they charge too much.
Once you get the screen up, you can do a wireless network and Mac, then just pay for the movie.
Additionally, you don't have to run first runs. How about some of the older classics that only are fully experienced on the big screen.
Anyway, that's too bad.

there are some tents behind the oil company on northwood drive. someone lives there... for sure... go check it out...
There was a Drive-In Trappe, Md just off Rt 50 .
Oh the memories!! Saturday night with your best girlfriend,or someone elses? Probably didn't see half the movie anyhow.
Those were the good old days. Used to spend many weekends at the OC and Pocomoke drive ins.
The Dream Drive In off of Chincoteague Road used to show XXX flicks!
I'm glad drive-in theaters are gone. That's where I lost my virginity.Half the people who attended drive-ins didn't watch the movie anyway.They ate drank, made love and made it into SinCity.That was 48 years ago.
