It's Time to "Save Our Salisbury"

Recent events have shown that Salisbury is in trouble. Audits are perpetually late, and when they are finally delivered, they show a pattern of financial chaos. Mayor Barrie Parsons Tilghman points a finger of blame, but then says she accepts responsibility. Questions are asked about the cost of the new fire station, and go unanswered. Money has been spent before it was authorized. A department head was hired before a department was created. Members of the City Council have been forced to file Freedom of Information Act requests to obtain information. The President of the Council shows how little she knows about conducting meetings, and they become debacles.

It’s time to issue an SOS……….

It’s time to Save Our Salisbury!!

There are many people who have been working for a long time to solve the problems More came on board during our recent Petition Drive to stop the obscene tax increase proposed by Mayor Tilghman. If you would like to join us, we welcome your participation!

Send an email to caldwellr2@comcast.net. Enter SOS as the subject. Once we hear from you, we will periodically send you emails about what’s happening, and how you can help. Your email address will not be divulged or sold. There is much we can do, and we can be effective if we work together! Join us. Help SAVE OUR SALISBURY!

Thanks……we look forward to hearing from you.

Good luck Bob and everyone. There are a lot of people that would love to participate, but please be discreet about it. There are many aquaintances, neighbors, "friends" and city employees that are willing to sign the petition, but they need to do it without suffering the consequences. This woman is a female Hitler and she needs to be stopped, 10 years ago. I doubt very seriously this city can recover anytime soon.

KUDOS to Bob Caldwell for stepping forward to begin the movement to restore Salisbury, or at least minimize further decline.
I fled Salisbury several years ago as a direct result of the politics of greed and distrust. Perhaps that was a cowards way out but it was the path I choose. Lets hope Bob's leadership will attract the necessary attention. It is way past time for new and ethical leadership in Salisbury.

What a wonderful thing! One caution to Bob -- be careful of moles from those who want to preserve their power choke hold on this city.

You know there will be some who will sign up to get the inside scoop on what you're up to.

Just like Louise Smith. I can't believe she was just turned after the election. I think she was already doing her dirty work during the campaign.

Bob- You have been laying your head on the chopping block for a long time. I hope the people are finally starting to wake up and show some strength in numbers. I want to see you and like minds succeed. I have started my crusading as well, and for the moment do wish to remain anonymous. However, I am here, watching, listening, and participating in my way. I will keep my eyes and ears open and volunteer when I can be of service. Good Luck.

Please be assured that all communication will be on an individual basis. Email addresses will not be disclosed, and the names of people participating will be strictly confidential. The goal is to create a coalition of citizens willing to get involved begin working toward creating a better Salisbury. Bob Caldwell

Bob is truly Superman. He will supply leadership and, most importantly something the City is now lacking--integrity and character. Barrie has neither, has shown neither and is a devoid of it as is possible.

This will be a group of highly intelligent and principled individuals I am certain.

Will representatives of Greater Salisbury, SWED, Chamber, etc. sign on--they should.

Bob - Congratulations and good luck. I would like to offer you one suggestion ---please show some respect by removing your cap when you are indoors unless there is some physical reason why you cannot do so.

What a sad sorry state of affairs that many residents feel unable to voice their opinions and concerns for fear of retaliation by Barrie Tilghman. This is America people. We are sending young men to fight for the freedom to challenge and disagree with tyranny and dictatorship but Salisbury city residents are being held hostage by a loud mouthed crude drunken housewife?

BRAVO, BOB!

No....do not remove your cap,Bob. Superman is allowed to wear his Superman Cap anytime, anywhere he pleases. (he wears the Superman Cap because it is less conspicuous than his Superman Cape). We might no recognize him without it!

Supreme Rule: You don't step on Superman's Cape or ask Superman to take off his Cap.

I have to agree with this. I think Louise even fooled the most seasoned veterans.

Good that Bob and GA are working for a better situation in this city. It is way past time for a group to set things straight and we appreciate you two taking the initiative and I am sure many will be willing to help!

Let's do this thing. What can we do to help? Money? Legwork? Let us know. I don't even live in the City of Salisbury but I'm willing to do what I can. How can ANY American just stand by and watch democracy be picked apart by a handful of tyrants. In the next two years it will be paramount for the people in this county, state, and nation to stick together, regardless of political party affiliation, and reinstate democracy. Our voices are NOT being heard. Our will is NOT being carried out. Is this what our fathers and grandfathers fought and died for? Is this the kind of country we want to leave to our children and grandchildren? I don't think so! Elections are around the corner...the time to organize efforts is now.

Joe:

A sincere suggestion:

Start a separate blog for your police beat, traffic accident and fire dept. posts. There is a separate audience for that stuff than the ones who want to SAVE OUR SALISBURY.

This is Super (man) Bob Caldwell, yes, I agree with all most all the reposnses. Also, agree that we need a blog that will augment what Joe is doing so well. I think that he (Joe) and all the others that have been working so hard for so long deserve acolades, and the help. Thank goodness help is finally arriving. This group is fired up and hopefully will keep up the good work for as much time as it takes to get this city back on track.
