EXCLUSIVE! Ray Lewis Goes Out In Handcuffs
While the Sheriff's Department escorted Ray Lewis out the back door in handcuffs, I was the only one who caught it on camera. There are several other scenes in which I had the heads up on, no one else got. More to come.......

This makes me sick to my stomach. This is no different than stealing from your neighbor. The stuff he stole belongs to every tax payer in the county. Great job sheriff Lewis.
BIG TIME THEFT!!! According to population statistics... Wicomico county has 91,987 residents according to 2006 figures, of them 70,830 were over 18 and possibly the tax base. If you divide $500,000.00 (reported theft) by 70,830 people, that equals +/- $ 7.06 each taxpayer gave to Ray Lewis. Thanks Ray
Excellent job Joe, and Sheriff Lewis on this coverage. But I have a problem with non law enforcement having the "Inside Scoop" sounds like some good ol boy activity to me and the tax payers. However the coverage is excellent, the reporting is on site, and the sheriff is once again doing an excellnt job. So this is where my tax dollars have gone?
Correct me if I'm wrong Joe but that picture looks like David Owens of the Maryland State Police who is a dectective. Who is handling this the sheriff's dept or the maryland state police?
You'll have to ask Sheriff Lewis. However, I'll be seeing him shortly and I'll be happy to ask that question. Right now I just can't answer it. I know the WBI & WCSO are both involved but I was unaware of any State Police present.
Maryland State Police contribute members to the WBI. WBI is a multi jurisdictional effort aimed at dedicating manpower to the investigation of crimes which would require more time that the road patrol guys can afford to spend. The result is an increase in case closure and better service to the citizens.
Local businessmen tend to get away with these types of things if they agree to pay hefty fines after adjudication. They should send him up the river for this. Send him to prison!!
110 that is the only time you will see owens doing anything the only reason he was there is due to the press the arresting person is a deputy as they do most of the work anyway

Joe,
The State Police are part of the WBI.

Duh!!! David Owens works for WBI and is a State Cop. WBI consists of both and who cares as long as they bust dirtbags like this!
Great Job I hope they get every penny back that he has stolen from the tax payers of Wicomico County.
