First a gun earlier this year and know knives. The following is a transcript of a letter sent home on Bus 94, Pittsville.
"To Parents of students riding bus 94:
This morning Mrs Elaine Kardiasmenos reported that a student had a knife on the bus. The student was escorted to a middle school classroom where the student was searched by the school administration. An investigation was conducted by the school administration and law enforcement. The student was in possession of three knives.
We have no reason to believe that the student had any intentions of doing harm to any students. The student indicated that he brought the knives to school to show his friends. The knives have been confiscated and disciplinary action has been taken.
Again, we applaud the student who shared concerns with the bus driver, which resulted in the investigation.

Oh, that is so nice to know. My daughter rides that bus. It irks me that we can't even trust our kids on the bus or at school anymore. I used to be able to ride my bike all over town. Matter of fact, I helped my brother with a paper route. We would play all over town and didn't have to worry about getting hurt or stolen.
