A Hero's Welcome

At 11:45 AM yesterday, Chris Jones arrived back in his Home Town, (Salisbury) for the Holidays. Chris is a Marine getting ready to head off to Iraq after some more intense training. His Mother Jennifer thanked each and every person for taking out time on a busy weekend to welcome home her Son.

As you can see, one Fire Fighter came to welcome Chris home and it wasn't a man at all. It was a wonderful woman. Well, just look around and you'll see the who's who of who was there. I'll add more photos later. A special Thanks goes out to We Care Wicomico County.

Thanks Chris and Welcome Home!

Hey, Joe, can you ask if there is an address for him where people can send care packages to him and his unit? I would love to do that, but just don't want to give money, I want to send stuff.

What I thought was really cool was that not one single person got up to get off of the bus until Mr. Chris Jones got off to greet his Mom. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.....

Great for all these people to take time off from a busy Saturday and lots of everything else to do in order to hold a banner or wave a flag to say "Welcome Home, We Honor Your Service".

Hear there is another Serviceman coming in on this Thursday at the Airport about 12:30 p.m.-- maybe others will come to welcome him home.

I think all this support is awesome. It helps service members remember why it is they are doing what they are doing... Thanks to everyone for your support.

I see the next mayor of Salisbury is there. With all he has on his plate he took time out to welcome home one of our own. Good on you, Bob Caldwell. Another reason to call you Superman.

SUPERMAN FOR MAYOR!!!
