Is It Christmas Or A Holiday?

Twas the month before Christmas when all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying nor taking a stand.
Why the PC Police had taken away,
The reason for Christmas - no one could say.

The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say
December 25th is just a Holiday.
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod
Something was changing, something quite odd!

Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
As Targets are hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.

At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-is-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.

Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.

And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.

So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'DreamTree'
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, not Happy Holiday!

MERRY CHRISTMAS...and my suggestion is DO NOT shop at stores that won't put Christmas in their advertising and make sure to let them know why you won't buy there.

While we're at it let's make sure it's in english too...lol

Merry Christmas to all,
Smokey

DIversity should go both ways. If we can be sensitive to the feeling, religions, and traditions of others, why can't they be sensative to mine?
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!!!

A couple of years ago I had a small nativity scene on display in my store during the holidays. A woman came in, shopped a bit then demanded I remove the display from the counter. I did and I placed it in the window for all passing by to see. After the holidays I put the nativity scene on the counter in the store and left it up until mid January, hoping the woman would come in again. She didn't so it just proves she was roaming around trying to be a rabble rouser. That crap may have worked in other businesses but it surely didn't work in mine.

People have gone buck wild with all of their politically correct crap. Diversity my eye. Life is not warm and fuzzy, they need to get out of their fantasy world and realize that saying or not saying Merry Christmas will not change one thing in this world. I have always wished everyone a Merry Christmas and will continue to do so.

To my friends that celebrate Hannukah, Happy Hannukah.

As a Christian that celebrates Christmas, I am not at all offended when someone says "Happy Holidays" to me. There are lots of religious holidays that occur in December, and how is someone to know which I celebrate? "Happy Holidays" has a much nicer ring to it, than say, "Can you move so I can get to that ipod?" or "Could you walk any slower, lady?"

What DOES bother me is when employees, whether in business or the government, are specifically told what to say or not say. THAT is an infringement on their rights, and they need to start taking a stand against it. If, in fact, they care about such things.
