The 11th Most Dangerous City In America Just Got Worse

I was tipped off yesterday that things weren't so good for Salisbury but my sources tell me things are a lot worse than what Duvall said this morning. He's stating we're now the 10th most dangerous City in America. My sources stated we moved into 7th place?

Either way, you're NOT going to read about this in the Daily Times because it is of course the Tilghman Times. The Times has been promoting things were better, of course doing NO research whatsoever and simply reporting whatever Chiefy says or Barrie.

More to come once we break down the numbers better......

Oh my god! Mike lewis' deputies aren't doing all that you say? I feel cheated!

Mike is only supposed to be responsible for the county. If they have to cover the city because the SPD is spread so thin, then that makes the Sheriff's Dept. thin everywhere else. There are some towns in the county that don't have a police department. The county works that area.

Also, both agencies are suffering from a lack of personnel. Be it from a lack of competative salary (SPD), or from reservist call ups, everyone everywhere is thin. I think we ought to get back to citizen patrols. Get CrimeWatch up and active again. Citizens should patrol their neighborhoods and call the police with problems. Then, the police can focus on the serious problem areas.

Just a thought.

Comment was just a jab at joe.Just go back to the WCSO babysitting SPD comment by joe. Maybe Chief Webster needs a new babysitter?
Watch... good point though.

Do you actually believe that the MSA only represents the city limits? Baltimore's MSA includes Towson, for example. Salisbury's MSA includes areas that are outside the city limits and are under Sheriff's Dept control.

Not only have the crime rates went up, the city had a warning in the Daily Dump to the effect that we should all expect a rise in thefts nearing the holidays.

You mean it can get worse?

The WCSO Deputies rock. And if they have to take care of the city, it'd be no problem in doing so. BUT...they'd need help from "SUPERCOP"!!!!!! Watch out folks, he's jumping over tall buildings and saving babies! ROTFLMAO

So, what's the freakin' deal? We're going to crap on Lewis just because Albero likes him?

That's infantile bullsh*t, guys.

Lewis is doing a great job. The deputies are too, as is the SPD, despite a chief that comes off about as unchiefly as it gets.

Watchfuleye = voice of reason. Thanks, buddy.

The crime rates may have gone up, but so has the number of arrests. So it's not like the officers aren't trying to keep up. And thefts rise around this time of year all over the country, not just salisbury.
