I sat back and read the Daily Times article last night referencing the Watch Desk and the racial remarks made there on 2003. Yes, it was that bad that they actually wrote an article about it.
On a side note to Rachel Polk & Von Siggers, here are a couple more names to match up with their screen names.

Joe-- have you ever met Darrin Scott?? Do you have ANY IDEA what he does for YOU, for me, and the rest of the Delmar community? Or have you taken to this ravenous hatred of everyone associated with SFD?? Anyhow, for your information-- after Darrin Scott puts in a full workweek with the SFD, he comes back to Delmar to work a second FULL-TIME job, only he doesn't get paid anything for this one. He is the Deputy Chief (2nd in command) of the Delmar Fire Dept. What the city of Salisbury pays him for, he provides to YOU, me, and the rest of this community FOR FREE. "2-hatters", as they are called-- are an integral part of VFD's, as they take the training and experience that would be difficult to obtain without being a career firefighter, and share it with other firefighters, like me, so we can protect YOU. You and your family are better protected because of the contibutions of Darrin Scott to your community. You're WAY OUT OF LINE making derogatory comments about Darin.
These two men are NO Longer affiliated with the SFD. These posts are from the debacle between Sta. 2 and a previous administration. Also, these posts came from a period when several people were mocking Sta. 2 members. What proof do you have Mr. Albero that you can definitively show that these two names are actually these two individuals. I never saw Harold on a computer at Sta. 2, ever! I'm not even sure that he knows how to operate one. I would say these are imposters who were making jokes with these screen names! The egg is on your face for getting involved in something 4 years lafter it happened, that you have no idea about.

I think this is very funny. What Joe does is important to the city. He clearly corrected himself in regards to the Joe Scott/Darryn Scott comment.
Additionally, what was said 4 years ago is still relevant, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS STILL GOING ON. Like someone else said, maybe Joe is hitting a nerve.
What truely scares the hell out of me is that a generally good fire co. is being represented by a bunch of elementary school students that can't spell and don't know proper grammar. I don't complain about your site, I find it hilarious that a self proclaimed successful business man's life now revolves around childish antics. You truely have the mentality of a five year old. When someone makes a valid point and leaves you no where to turn, you result to name calling and bashing someone for being anonymous. Anyone can log-on to the watch desk under any screen name and using anyones real name. If you believe everything on that site, your just as stupid as the 2 fans you have, who believe everything on this site. You tell us constantly to get a life, all of this coming from a man who is attacking a city he doesn't even live in. You have nothing better to do but follow around the administration and report if their farts violated the noise ordinance. Who do you think really needs a life? To tell you before you pounce I do have a life, I work 45 hrs. a week, go to class 2 nights a week (yes for fire/ems classes), hold approximately a 60% response rate for my station here in salisbury, attend meetings/drills, spend time with my family and still have time to fish/hunt.
And not to forget, to all the a**holes who keep stating things to the effect of not coming to someones aid because they bash you on a website or cost you donations, none of you deserve to be affiliated with a fire department. You swore to protect regardless to race, sex, religion or personal indifference not to protect only those who support you. As much as I disagree with Joe on alot of the posts about the fire service, they are just words and have done none of you physical harm and if you let his words stop you from saving his or anyone elses life, you are no better than he and should seriously consider doing something else with your time.
