Hebron Refuses To Expose Council Meeting Agenda For Tonight

I was tipped off earlier by someone telling me the Town of Hebron wanted this person to file a PIA Request in order to gain access to what will be discussed in this evenings meeting.

I then decided to call myself and obviously due to pressure from multiple calls they've changed their tune somewhat. However, this time they simply told me personally that they don't have the agenda information ready at this point. I said, can you tell me what's already been scheduled? NO!

I pushed a bit harder and said, there's got to be information on the table already, can't you simply share that? NO! The information won't be ready till the end of the day, 4:00. I said, don't you close at 4:00? YES! Well, this is convenient!

Look, I've dealt with these people before in the past and whenever "anyone" gets as defensive as theses people do, something is up! There's absolutely NO reason these people should be as rude as they are and if they think the pressure is on now, wait till the new development gets started!

Charles, Rick, Ron, it's time to look into cleaning house in Hebron as well as the rest of the County. If these people can't start being nice, send them on their way! The Citizens have the right to this information BEFORE the meeting scheduled and they're purposely making this impossible. Are there legal issues with not providing this information in advance?

Oh, by all means, call Mary directly at 410-742-5555 and ask for yourself what's on schedule for tonight. This should get VERY interesting! By the end of the day they'll be cursing out anyone and everyone, watch!

The state open meeting act says a government must publish an agenda at least 24 hours in advance of a scheduled meeting

Oooo.... mistake on my part... rules have changed a little.... though the town does have a responsibility and obligation to report the date and time of the meeting as soon as they are known.... apparently, they are NOT obligated to publish an agenda..... this according to the 5th Ed. of the manual.

Sorry, it's Break Time Billiards Night for Couples. Maybe Charles Jannace would be interested in joining you guys in Hebron? I hear Alessi & Pollitt will be there.
