False Promisses From Sam's Club

I remember back in the day when Sam's Club and the City of Salisbury were telling everyone the reason they were adding the gas pumps was because they were going to keep the "other" Gas Stations honest and Sam's Club would offer gasoline at $.05 cent per gallon less than the competition.

As I traveled around Salisbury today, most everyone was at the same price as Sam's Club and as a LOYAL Customer of Sam's, I don't believe what the Mayor and Sam's Club promised is true. Oh, they keep coming back saying they're keeping everyone else honest. The competition be out of business if that were true.

Then you drive into Cambridge and gas is $1.95 a gallon the past two weeks! I even remember a few years ago the Mayor of Salisbury feeding everyone this line of BS stating the City of Salisbury require additional additives to their gasoline, making it more expensive than Ocean City gas. Dee, Dee, Deeeee!

Lower the gas prices and stop ripping everyone off, period! Do you want people to move to Cambridge?

Oh, Barrie, Tell them to fix their damn sign! They're in violation and this photo is proof.

I wonder if it has something to do with the laws in Maryland where a station has a minimum price they must charge for gasoline (a "predatory pricing" law.) This is based on wholesale prices in the area.

It's about time someone spoke the truth about gas prices here in Wicomico County. When its cheaper on Virginia's eastern shore, cheaper in Ocean City, cheaper in Cambridge, then it should be obvious to everyone that Salisbury is ripping us off.
