The Old Mall Meeting Tonight At Dove Point

Their presentation was over in about 15 to 20 minutes and then they took questions. A couple interesting things were brought to light 1) The planned density is STILL 800+ which seemed to suprise a few and 2) There are several 6 STORY buildings ( I assume condo units) planned and this seemed to get the crowd stirred up.

There were over 100 people (some candidates Cannon, Pretl, and City Council President Mike Dunn) but mostly general public.

Considering the amount of people showing up for Forum's lately, I'd say this was a Grand Slam Home Run for Linda Kent & Co. Great Job!

Oh, why not C.I.E.! I mean, if we don't you'll just keep bringing it up again and again, over and over! We get it!

Mr. HarrisGuru, been awhile since we seen ya here on the blogs.

As fer "more of us" in attendance, not accordin' to the Daily Crime:

"Neighbors and other concerned residents responded to the plan by asking for less density, fewer drivers and minimal impacts to the surrounding areas during the two-hour public meeting designed to be the first in-depth dialogue between the developer and public of the latest plans."

If'n there was a slant t'yer favor, the Crime woulda pumped it.

As fer experts, the developers asked fer "public input."

Yer comment against elderly folks is pretty insultin'. In fact, yer whole comment was.

Seems t'me somethin' good is happenin' when developers start talkin' with citizens. If'n developers and their experts got all the answers, then why are there so many nasty lookin' developments? Not just here, but lotsa places.

Maybe ya oughta read Sbygal's comments at the top. Sounded like the meetin' was a positive step t'me.

Bpdr, well, whenever these things go on, ya can never tell how much is fer show and how much is real, so yer impression may be right. I try t'balance my human cynical side with my optimistic dog side.

What thoughts did ya share with 'em? I'll keep 'em in whatever ear they enter. Only way I learn.
