Jim Rapp wrote a Letter the Editor today thanking everyone but the Blog Sites? Here we are promoting the Night of the Living Zoo, they have a RECORD attendance and is it a question to anyone else why they had such a huge turn out? The Blog Sites have far more circulation than the Daily Times and I think they should show their appreciation for a job well done on our behalf. If not, well we're just not going to help them again. Jim always seems to forget the people who helped make things a success and instead always takes the credit himself. You need to change your ways Jim Rapp. Maybe he got his instructions from Ron Alessi?

Jim Rapp Forgets To Thank The Blogs!
Jim Rapp wrote a Letter the Editor today thanking everyone but the Blog Sites? Yeah, I guess you're right HW. It's just so comforting to know what my Blog Site can do. Record numbers, record income? If they got $8.00 a ticket they raised some $43,000.00+, that's great! This means they're $43,000.00 closer to building that $2,000,000.00 building the AZA is demanding they build and that's all the better for the animals there. Then again, they might throw 50% of that money to Africa for land preservation and I think they should keep these funds in the Zoo for mandated demands for their own animals sake. Last year they donated $5,000.00 towards the Audobon Zoo in New Orleans when they could have been $5,000.00 closer to paying for that new building.
Maybe you all don't realize what will happen to the Salisbury Zoo if the AZA drops them? That will make for another post soon but they might as well close their doors and Alessi is banking on just that. He wants to throw that $2,000,000.00 tab on the Taxpayers claiming they just couldn't raise the funds and if they don't they'll lose their accreditation with the AZA and the Mayor will force it down everyone's throat or the Zoo will fail. Give it time, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. Also note, the $2,000,000.00 building has NOTHING to do with the $36,000,000.00 they need for their new Master Plan. Nor does any parking, in which they don't have enough of and the AZA is demanding they change as well. It's a real mess Folks.
All I am saying is if he thanks you, he will get some glib remark, if he doesn't thank you, he will get some glib remark. Its a lose lose situation for him. and with pending litigation? why poke the bear?
