Don't Forget To Vote!

I just wanted to let you know that we have asked for formal responses from MDE and the city - based on those we will figure out our approach to EPA. We will keep you informed.

Well, that's one way to look at it. Everyone on my ballet (republican) was running unopposed except Micheal Steele. So, I guess you didn't miss too much. I think it should be open primary and the top vote winning Republican, Independent and Democrap face off in main event. That way if I happen to like someone other than my party's offering I can vote for the guy, or gal. SSR
I think the reason there's a closed primary is because party officials (such as I would be) are on the ballot.
But iyeska's argument is a good one for an completely open primary more like the municipal one for county-level offices. In this case, there's about 7,000 independent voters (from Wicomico County) cut out of the process, not to mention the four other "minor" parties in Maryland.
