Ravens cut Earl Thomas after he punched teammate at practice
Well, that happened fast.
Earl Thomas’ time in Baltimore is over.
The seven-time Pro Bowl safety was cut by the Ravens on Sunday in the wake of his practice scuffle with fellow safety Chuck Clark on Friday in which he reportedly punched Clark. The Cowboys, who sought former Jets safety Jamal Adams, are the favorite to land him, according to ESPN. The Ravens said the reason for Thomas’ release was “for personal conduct that has adversely affected the Baltimore Ravens,” meaning they’re likely to pursue recouping money on Thomas’ four-year, $55 million contract.
“I appreciate the Ravens organization for the opportunity. Had a great run,” Thomas wrote on his Instagram story after being released. “Wish things would have ended different but you live and you learn. Thank you Eric DeCosta and everyone else who played a role in bringing me to B-More. Wish you guys the best.”

Protesters engaged with a man leaving a restaurant in Charlotte’s South End neighborhood around 11:00 p.m., and called him a “gentrifier,” theCharlotte Observer reported.

Comey: 'I can't imagine that I'm a target' of Durham probe
Former FBI Director James Comey spoke dismissively of Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham's investigation of the origins of the bureau's Russia probe Sunday, saying he has not been contacted for it and that it is being used as a political tool for President Trump and his supporters.
In an interview that aired Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation," Comey insisted that everyone involved in the investigation was "trying to do the right thing" and therefore Durham's probe was not concerning for him.

A black Muslim woman berated an Asian Boba tea store owner in Aurora, Colorado on Friday for not being “black owned.”
The black Muslima accused the Asians of “stealing black culture” and then turned her ire toward a black customer who was defending the store owners and called him a “coon.”

Interim chief: 3 Prince George's County police officers shot 'were ambushed'
Alsobrooks: 'All three of these officers are nothing short of heroes'
LANDOVER, Md. — Three Prince George's County police officers were shot within seconds of arriving at a home invasion call, the interim police chief said.
County police said officers were called at 6:35 p.m. Sunday to the 1300 block of Capital View Terrace.
Interim Police Chief Hector Velez said there was a legitimate call for service, a home invasion, but that the officers came under fire within seconds after arriving at the scene.
"They were ambushed," Velez said.
Police said officers returned fire, and two men are in custody. They were not struck.
"This evening, I received a call that three of my officers were shot. My heart sank," Velez said.
"This is the call you hope you never get, and we were just so shaken tonight to have gotten the call that three of our officers had been shot," Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks said. "All three of these officers are nothing short of heroes."
The officers were taken to the hospital for treatment.
"They're going to be fine ... They are in good spirits. They are concerned about each other. They expressed concern for the person that they were responding to for the call for service," Velez said. "At this point, they suffered various degrees of injuries, and fortunately, we were able to apprehend two individuals."
The chief said the officers provided care to each other.

Those things translate directly into lives lost, opportunities destroyed.
Has Biden not looked around and seen the multiplying protests worldwide against these idiotic and tyrannical lock downs?
Biden’s handlers are telling him to campaign on this because they are trying to hold together The State, the religion of the Left, as the final arbiter of truth and societal best practices while it fails right in front of our eyes.

During an interview with Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” on Monday, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) reacted to the House of Representatives passage of a U.S. Postal Service bill that if passed would place restrictions on changes made to mail delivery protocol and give the USPS an additional $25 billion in funding.
Hawley called the gesture and effort to “weaponize” the USPS.
“What’s happening here is the Democrats are just trying to weaponize the postal service, Brian,” he said. “I mean, that’s all there is to it. We had a hearing – the Senate had a hearing on Friday in the Homeland Security Committee that I sit on with the Postmaster. He said they’ve got the money. They’ve got the manpower. “The Postmaster has already said he won’t implement any reforms or measures that will slow down the mail between now and November,” Hawley continued. “And what they need – what the post office needs is long-term reform, but the Democrats aren’t interested in any of that. Companies including Microsoft, Intel and Airbnb have donated to Black Lives Matter Global Network and Color of Change, both of which want to defund police departments across the country.
Color of Change is leading a national petition campaign demanding elected officials “defund the police, and invest in communities now!”
“Policing is a violent institution that must end,” Color of Change President Rashad Robinson said after the Minneapolis City Council voted to “dismantle” its police department.

72 Percent of Detroit's Absentee Voting count don't match
Detroit election officials say that 72 percent of absentee ballot precincts recorded totals that didn’t match the actual number of votes. Wayne County, the state’s largest county, is calling for an official investigation.
The Wayne County Board of Canvassers is asking Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson to look at “training and processes” used in the August 4 primary that one official called “a perfect storm” of challenges, according to the Detroit News.
In 46% of all Detroit’s precincts — absentee and Election Day — vote counts were out of balance, according to information presented Tuesday to the Wayne County Board of Canvassers. Specifically, the number of ballots tracked in precinct poll books did not match the number of ballots counted.The situation could amplify the spotlight on absentee ballots in Michigan ahead of an election for which record levels of mail-in voting are expected and President Donald Trump is already raising concerns about how votes will be handled.

When Gina Serna set out to control Pablo Escobar’s wild hippos, she didn’t count on the flood of tears.
“I was crying a lot,” said Serna, a Colombian veterinarian who is spearheading an ambitious campaign to sterilize the dozens of hippos that are roaming Colombia and causing devastating environmental damage.
“I am a strong woman, but it was a lot of stress because I love these animals and I want to protect them.”
The crying began almost as soon as Serna began filming “The Hunt for Escobar’s Hippos,” which premieres on the Smithsonian Channel on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Kellyanne Conway announces departure from White House role
President Trump’s longtime adviser Kellyanne Conway is stepping down from her role at the end of the month.
Conway, whose daughter Claudia has sparked national attention this summer over her anti-Trump tweets, said she and her husband are taking time off to tend to their four children.
“We disagree about plenty,” Kellyanne said in a statement, referring to her husband, George Conway, the co-founder of the Lincoln Project, a Republican anti-Trump group.
“But we are united on what matters most: the kids,” Kellyanne said in her statement.
Kellyanne, who helped guide Trump to victory in 2016 as his third campaign manager, told the president of her decision Sunday night in the Oval Office, the Washington Post reported.
