The bubble is real. The bubble explains so much. You need not live in DC or New York or Los Angeles to be bubbled. Out here in the wilds of North Carolina, you can still lose touch. Just stay online, watch cable news and monitor Twitter. This will completely warp your view of the way things really are.
I know this because it has happened to me. But never, not once, have I ever been so bubbled that I was unaware of just how much America freakin’ hates CNN.
With that in mind, try to imagine just how out-of-touch CNN correspondent Nick Valencia is:

A Viewer Writes: WBOE
Just the same as we did a couple years ago, our neighbor is having to fight with WBOE & Transportation about letting her child attend the school of which district we live in. According to the boundary maps, our small neighborhood is clearly in the Willards/Pittsville/Parkside school district. Her child attended Pittsville Middle last year, and is set to attend high school this year. His schedule, set up by the WBOE and school administrators, is for him to attend Parkside. This past week she contacted transportation to find out what bus would be picking him up. This is when they tell her that we live in Wi-HI's district, which is false. Their whole reasoning for this is because they don't want to reroute a bus a 1/4 mile to pick her son up. There is also a second high school student whose family just moved into the neighborhood who is scheduled to attend Parkside. They too will not have transportation. It's frustrating to clearly have all the proper information stating that you live in a specific school district, just to have the WBOE & Transportation blatantly lie to you.

Hate Profiteering: The SPLC Hate Hustlers
In the 5th century BC treatise, “The Art of War” (attributed to Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu), it is written, “If you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be put at risk even in a hundred battles.” In modern shorthand, that has been reduced to simply “Know your enemy,” though knowing your own capabilities remains equally important.
To better know our adversaries, our editors and analysts subscribe to a broad spectrum of political publications — leftmost among them being the daily Communist Party USA propaganda sheet, which gives marching orders to all the leftist hater opposition to American Liberty and Rule of Law. A notch less leftward than the CPUSA would be the Democrat Party daily updates.
Prior to the Charlottesville hate-fest between the so-called “alt-right” and “antifa” hate factions, the frequency of DNC fundraising appeals after Hillary Clinton’s demise had declined to a trickle — soft monthly appeals.
However, after Charlottesville, the frequency of appeals from Demo chairman Tom Perez has increased to three per day, and even Hillary is back in the act..
Fomenting disunity and hate along racial, ethnic, religious, economic and gender lines is the bread and butter of the Democrat Party platform, but racial division has long been the keystone of that corrupt platform.

ISRAEL Sends Relief Aid to Texas
Israeli aid experts have been dispatched to Texas to provide emergency relief and psychosocial support to the victims of Tropical Storm Harvey.
A delegation of volunteers from humanitarian aid NGO IsraAID were sent to Houston to assist in immediate disaster relief – such as cleaning homes of debris – and to offer trauma counselling.
“In crises with large-scale destruction, national and international aid efforts typically focus on practical, physical support, with limited resources allocated to the mental and emotional rehabilitation of affected populations,” said Yotam Polizer, co-CEO of IsraAID.
“For the most vulnerable groups, notably children and the elderly, time is of critical importance; the longer these groups are forced to remain in shelters, the higher the chance of long-term mental health problems such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), a disorder that can have a debilitating and long-term impact.”
“This cleaning stage is crucial to avoid major health and hygiene issues from contaminated water and open sewage,” said Polizer. “From a psychological perspective, home-owners are often so overwhelmed by the devastation and the loss of their belongings that they cannot consider the thought of filtering through their possessions to try and save anything. Part of IsraAID’s work is to separate what can be preserved.”
“The loss of people’s homes can easily put them into a downward spiral of despair and depression. Cleaning up the mess helps create a positive momentum towards rehabilitation and recovery,” Polizer added.

Here’s the progressive Left’s war strategy — and endgame
While we Americans watched a human tragedy of epic proportions unfold in Texas after Hurricane Harvey made landfall, we also bore witness to that which is stellar and exceptional about Americans: our willingness to serve and help each other in tragic times.
We saw the valor and heroism that has always been the foundation of Americanism. However, something else happened this weekend that revealed a crack in that foundation: Black-clad, masked domestic terrorists reminiscent of Hitler’s Brown Shirts attacked other Americans — and that’s not overstating the case.
Just yesterday, a very dear, close friend asked me what’s going on with the Left in America? He asked me, specifically, about the “transgender” agenda.

Linda Sarsour’s “hurricane relief fund” ISN’T helping who you think it is
It boggles the mind why Muslim activist Linda Sarsour has emerged as a feminist icon, but following her role in organizing the anti-Trump “Women’s March,” she’s become just that.
A bizarre label for sure, given that she continuously defends Sharia law, and has called for women with whom she disagrees to have their bodies mutilated.
Certainly, someone as devoted to her religion as she is familiar with the concept of “taquiya,” that is, situations under Sharia Law under which it’s acceptable to lie (to nonbelievers, of course). In her case, it apparently extends to lying for political gain, because you’ll notice something curious if you read the fine print in the alleged Harvey Hurricane relief charity she promotes on her twitter account.

Weekly Fishing Report: Aug. 30, 2017
This is Erik Zlokovitz filling in for Keith Lockwood on the weekly fishing report. As I write this report, there is a disturbance bringing in some rain and winds along the mid-Atlantic coast, but it is nothing compared to the historic flooding being experienced now by the folks in the Houston area, southeast Texas and western Louisiana. The weather forecast here in Maryland is fair to good for the next few days, with rain in the forecast Saturday. We may be entering into a slight cooling pattern, which means that fishing will gradually shift into early fall mode. Take your kids out fishing at least one more time before school starts!
Before we get into this week’s fishing report, I wanted to remind everyone that they can submit their own fishing reports and photos to the Maryland Angler’s Log. To post a report, please email your name, hometown, photos, location information and additional content for your report. All information is optional, but encouraged. New reports are posted daily during the busy fishing seasons. You can see our most recent Angler's Log here.

A Decade of Central Bank Collusion and Counting
Since late 2007, the Federal Reserve has embarked on grand-scale collusion with other G-7 central banks to manufacture a massive amount of money. The scope and degree of this collusion are historically unprecedented and by admission of the perpetrators, unconventional in approach, and – depending on the speech – ineffective.
Central bank efforts to provide liquidity to the private banking system have been delivered amidst a plethora of grandiose phrases like “unlimited” and “by all means necessary.” Central bankers have played a game with no defined goalposts, no clock rundown, no max scores, and no true end in sight.
At the Fed’s instigation, central bankers built policy on the fly. Their science experiment morphed into something even Dr. Frankenstein couldn’t have imagined. Confidence in the Fed and the U.S. dollar (as well as in other major central banks globally) has dropped considerably, even as this exercise remains in motion, and even though central bankers have tactiltly admitted that their money creation scheme was largely a bust, though not in any one official statement.

Donald Trump moves to restore work requirement for welfare
The Trump administration moved Wednesday to reimpose work requirements for Americans on welfare, revoking an Obama-era policy that had urged states to apply for waivers exempting the poor from having to show they were either getting job training or looking for work.
Requiring work was a key part of the 1996 welfare reform law enacted by a GOP-led Congress and signed by then-President Bill Clinton, and Mr. Trump’s move restores the law as written.
“The waiver option offered by the Obama administration is being replaced today by an expectation that work should always be encouraged as a condition for receiving welfare,” said Steven Wagner, the Health and Human Services Department’s acting assistant secretary for children and families.
The 2012 Obama policy didn’t outright gut the welfare law. Instead, it pushed states to consider applying for waivers that would let them still pay benefits to people even if they weren’t actively seeking work, job training or meeting other criteria.
The move proved to be ineffective.

Houston police catch 14 armed robbers and looters amid flood emergency
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo said he is not going to tolerate criminals taking advantage of people in the community during such a devastating time.
NOTE: The city of Houston has announced a curfew from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. The curfew remains in effect until further notice and exempts those seeking shelter, flood relief volunteers, first responders and those going to and from work.
He said his officers arrested 14 alleged looters since Sunday.
Those arrested will face stiffer punishments under a Texas law providing heftier penalties during a crisis, prosecutors announced Tuesday.
"People displaced or harmed in this storm are not going to be easy prey," Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said.

Iran Rejects U.S. Demand for Inspection of Military Sites
Iran on Tuesday dismissed U.S. demands for the inspection of Iranian military sites by the U.N. nuclear watchdog, shrugging off a request by America’s ambassador to the U.N. as only a “dream.”
Iran’s government spokesman Mohammad Bagher Nobakht told reporters that the demand by Ambassador Nikki Haley wasn’t worth any attention. Iran will not accept any inspection of its sites and “especially our military sites.”
In remarks broadcast by state TV, he said the sites and all information about them are “classified.”
Last week Haley said the United States wants inspections of Iranian military and non-military sites to determine its compliance with the landmark 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers. The deal saw Iran cap its nuclear activities in return for lifting of crippling sanctions.

Hillary charging $750 for photo at book signing
Hillary Clinton is coming to a city near you to talk about something she cares very deeply about: herself.
Clinton will relive her humiliating defeat to Donald Trump in the 2016 election through a tour this fall and winter to promote her new book, “What Happened.”
Over the summer, Clinton has publicly blamed the loss on Russia, former FBI Director James Comey, The New York Times, the Democratic National Committee, sexism, gender stereotypes, Donald Trump, and her own supporters, among others.
Now she’ll again hit the road — and take attention away from Democratic candidates — to take her case to the people, or at least those who can afford to attend.
