Bill banning ‘no-knock’ raids in Virginia sent to Gov. Northam

Virginia’s General Assembly passed a bill banning “no-knock” search warrants Wednesday, clearing the way for it to go to Gov. Ralph Northam’s desk.

“I applaud my colleagues in the General Assembly for supporting HB 5099,” Virginia Delegate Lashrecse Aird, who introduced the bill, said in a statement. “This bill was drafted with significant input from stakeholders from both law enforcement and the criminal justice community, working together towards the goal of protecting more lives in the Commonwealth.”

The bill passed the House of Delegates last month. However, It's just now being reported!

The legislation, in part, is a response to the death of Breonna Taylor in Kentucky earlier this year. She was killed at home after officers entered to serve a no-knock drug warrant connected with a suspect who did not live there and was already in police custody.

They knocked and announced per police, independent witness and the shooter. But let’s ban them anyway

The police knocked. This is all predicated on a lie.

More cops are going to get killed performing criminal extraction maneuvers.

You know how to avoid no knock warrants? Don't be a fugitive criminal. You want to play the thug lifestyle but don't want to deal with the consequences.

No knock doesn’t mean no announcements are given.

Lol yeah 304 because you were there and can account for the conflicting reports on a knock. Doofus there have been plenty of problems with no knock warrants predating the BT incident.

Not only that bullets found suggest she shot at the police ... she was fired from her EMT job in 2016 because a bullet riddled body was found in her car

Know knocks are obtained with recent information on guns and drugs. But they did the “ knock and announce 3 times” Standord that swat do across the nation. FYI Ron Paul named the bill after one of the suspects. He wants to be liked so bad.

We have enough crap on the books now. Police reform is a crock of bull chit. We do just fine the way it has been since our existence. Let the police do their job and clean up the trash. Sure there may be a deadly mistake on occasion, same as traffic collisions and war. We aren’t in a bubble. The large percentage of police activity is performed flawless. I would not want to be in their position today. Stay safe my friends. Blue Lives Matter!

I heard dat 👍

@6:47 Brianna Taylor was asleep, moron. Her boyfriend gave a warning shot because he thought they were being robbed after the police refused to identify themselves.

"What u gonna-do" when the police show up at the wrong apartment, kick down the door, and shoot everyone inside before identifying themselves as police?

Pandering to the minority again. WTF?

Anonymous said...

Stupid cops going to the wrong address brought this on themselves.

Actually a witness says they knocked. But guessing you never looked into the information for yourself. Don't allow anyone to tell you what goes on, seek information on your own. Question everything.

Because thugs life matters more then cops. How many cops will be In danger now? Since when do people who break the law have more rights?!?! Wake up people. Trump 20/20

Good job VA. Endangering officers lives and allowing drug dealers to flush their dope before cops get in.

Anonymous said...

Problem is neither one of the occupants were drug dealers! He fired 1 shot an the police fired how many 20+ smh!! Then ballistics say the officer whom was shot didn't come from the occupant! ALL BS!
