What is the difference between absentee voting and universal vote-by-mail?

Many states have shifted their elections to include more voting by mail in an effort to keep people from congregating at polls, but competing claims and different definitions of the systems these states are adopting have led to warnings of fraud by Republicans and accusations of voter suppression by Democrats in response.

At the heart of the debate is how to define "universal mail-in," "absentee" and "no-excuse absentee" voting; whether there are differences among the three terms; and if those systems present risks of voter fraud or disenfranchisement.

Yet still... in the end, both are voting by mail.

Anyone that puts their trust in mail in voting is a fool. Especially in democratic districts

Except that without you knowing when your not requested ballot is batch mailed and I do know the date, I can follow the mail truck and take your ballot before you get home and vote it any way I want. Then, when you go to the polls to vote in person, you will learn you have already voted!

Joke's on you!

Received a request for mail in voting application in yesterday's mail. Already in the shred pile as I will only vote in person...especially this election. This "plandemic" was well thought out by the Demorats but for me I will be at the voting booth November 3!

There isn't a difference. This is slight of hand smoke and mirrors.

It is still voting by mail, which 5 states have been doing for years with no issues.

This is a red herring folks... all distractions, it is an attempt by a grifter to rig an election.

You are spouting the false libtard talking points.

Hiden Biden is going to get destroyed in the election and you evil dumbocrats are trying to make it illegitimate.

WE ALL KNOW THE GAMES YOU PLAY!

Apparently you don't do so well with actual facts and data. You would rather live in your fantasy land and let your entertainment media tell you what to think.

Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington and Utah hold elections almost entirely by mail, and have for sometime with no issues.

The republican application for mail in voting has Trumps name emblazoned on it, and right under his name it says mail in voting is safe and secure.

We know the games you play, and your con man play. Cry wolf too many times and people get wise to your grifting.
