WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a $1,305,919 federal grant from the Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to the Talbot County Council for a project at the Easton Airport, Newnam Field. Funding originated from the Airport Improvement Program (AIP), and can be used for improvements related to enhancing airport safety, capacity, security, and environmental concerns.
Congressman Harris made the following statement on the award:
“I support our local regional airports and the rural communities they serve on the Eastern Shore. Easton Airport supports quality, good-paying jobs on the Mid-Shore, and during this pandemic, I support getting our rural communities in the First Congressional District the funds they need to continue to operate and thrive.”

Great - how many of you middle class taxpayers use this airport. None. It is for the wealthy. Why not have those individuals pay for upkeep.
More funding for Easton airport - WTH - the facility doesn't even show up on the economic radar screen.
