West Ocean City Hooters Is Closed For Good

Hooters in general is trying to concentrate on their anchor location at the beach and have decided to close their West Ocean City location for good. It is official, they're done.

It's my understanding there's been a lot of interest by other restaurants to take over this location so we will see what happens in time.

Didn't know it was even there.

I’ll miss the view especially in the winter when nobody goes to the beach.

With OC transportation at a standstill, how would potential customers get there?

Anonymous said...

Wow....I suppose times are a changin!

Anonymous said...

Oh Ok!

Anonymous said...

Isn't the OC location tiny? Or is it that there aren't Russians here this year cause lord knows they need them for eye candy.

Good, keep on closing!!!! Maybe when you all are closed for good, you will finally get tired of being a salve!!!! but I doubt it!!! You all love being a slave!!!!

I wish I would hear one waitress from there crying "me too". There's words for ladies who make money showing their ass and tits. And it's not a waitress.

Anonymous said...

gonna miss their great food! NOT!

Anonymous said...

Is this a surprise? Overpriced common food with VERY sub par so called hooters waitress’s. Also, we’ll before it’s time in WOC.

Anonymous said...

Should move it here, we have two colleges right in town to fill up this place with great looking waitresses!

Anonymous said...

Good building, good location.

Anonymous said...

No place has been successful here.

Anonymous said...

The North OC Hooters was a gold mine, expanding and then closing that one was a very stupid move.

Anonymous said...

Then why has nothing lasted if it's such a good location and building.

Anonymous said...

This is the third failed restaurant at this building and location.

Anonymous said...

I may be wrong, I have been one other time. Been there a few times after they closed the one way out North on beach highway. (That was a successful place). This place mentioned has never been what other locations were. You would think the location is good. Managed well, what the hell?

Anonymous said...

Their tits and ass are showing less than 90% of the people who are in OC. Especially now that thong bikinis are making a come back. Only a miserable...most likely ugly, person would suggest that a hooters waitress could never be a part of a “me too” movement because of what their uniform looks like. You are the problem. 😊

Too bad. Love their wings. This location was easier to get to than the boardwalk location.

Anonymous said...

Nothing in that spot has been successful , Bull on the Beach, Dough Roller, and another one I can’t remember the name of, and now Hooters, all in the last 10 yrs. no one has made it yet.

Anonymous said...

Media has been smashing them for exploiting women. Stocks took a major his 6 years ago and never came back. Cancel obey now.

Anonymous said...

Hooters makes me happy

Anonymous said...

And if was such a goldmine, they closed SMH

Anonymous said...

Okay honey. Time for nap time.

Anonymous said...

Not a big loss.

Not meeting the "highest and best" valuation for the property. Look for a high rise structure to take it's place. Typical real estate transaction to close, and rebuild with a higher revenue business. Happens all the time.

Eventually most things must go away.

Sad indeed.

It's already closed. Why should it keep closing? They are not slaves, idiot, and can leave whenever they want. If you're trying to ridicule people, maybe try having better grammer than a third grader.

Anonymous said...

🤣 I take it you don't get tipped very well...

Anonymous said...

I don’t know why that location doesn’t work. It’s been several different restaurants, Dough Roller, Bull on the Beach and a couple that I can’t remember. We really need a great Mexican restaurant in west o.

Anonymous said...

Isn't the owner the same person that does such an amazing job with the (now) highly regarded restaurant in Ocean Pines?

Anonymous said...

Whatever opens at That location always closes, it's a dead spot,

Anonymous said...

Picked up many waitresses from there. Good times✌

Anonymous said...

For starters I'm a man. I find jobs like those where women use their body for money dispicable. It's just my opinion. Maybe your the miserable person and the problem since you think your the boss of all thoughts and opinions. If I think a woman is a slut because she CHOOSES to work where sex sells the food then I'm entitled to have that opinion. And when you run around with your ass and tits hanging out, your gonna to always catch the wrong attention. So in short, yes I think you shouldn't cry about getting treated like a slit if your acting like one. Sorry that makes you so mad. We all judge people and are judged on their actions and life decisions

Because of what their uniforms looks like. Bahahhaah

Aww the snowflakes are so silly.
People in OC are on vacation at the beach. Not at work half naked.

Uhh...Tequila Mockingbird is right down the street!

Reading all the comments, I conclude business at that location was a big bust.

Anonymous said...

Tequila Mockingbird is in West O.

Damn...
Truthfully I wasn’t a Hooters Fan..
But...
I loved the boardwalk 6th st location
Waitresses were attentive and had the greatest personalities...They went above and beyond for me and my family...
New Smoked Dry rub wings BEST I’ve Ever had!!!
Pickle shots, froze s, crushes were all on point...
And I’ve been in the Biz for over 20 years...
People Suck and Always gotta Piss n moan

I Agree with Girdletree 100%!

I agree with Girdletree too... What an Idiot

If you haven’t been then please don’t judge. It was an amazing locals stop on the way home from work. And those employees worked hard for their money to support their family just like the rest of us. It wasn’t a Miami style Hooters as you may think. The owner ran a great business and people came there because of him. It was like a Cheers bar to us locals

5:33 note that I said we need a great Mexican restaurant....tequila is average at best.

Anonymous said...

11:35. I think the other place was called Osborne's. Short-lived. It was owned by the former mgr of Outback. The location isn't bad, just that most people who drive by think it's not busy because they can't see the back parking lot. If you have good food & decent service, location really is secondary. People will travel pretty far food consistently good food.

Loved it there , go there often but Maybe they will look at sailisdury md, as an option

Uptown was great. Then the lease ran out, and the landlord had other plans. As I understand it

Odachowski Now owns the building-anything is possible!!

2:13, No, that's not true. Matt managed this Hooters. He was not an owner.

I'll miss it like a toothache or hemmroid.

316 you are not a real man if you are going to disrespect women in such a manner as referring to them as sluts and making comments about they are asking for it. I know several of the waitresses there and whenever I have gone there they have not acted in an indecent manner. They are attractive and friendly and I tipped them well based on their service. I am a woman of a grown son and if I ever heard him talk about women the way you do I'd wash his mouth out after giving him the smack he deserves. I am guessing your mother didn't raise you very well to be judging women by how they dress and feeling as if you have the right to disrespect them based on their appearance.
Either that is the reason or you have never been able to get an attractive woman in your life because of your uptight frigid views of how a woman should dress and act. I wonder if you suffer from an Oedipus complex?

Best bet for that location would be a Denny's or IHOP. 24/7 family food with no alcohol costs. It us not like OC doesn't have it's fair share of bars but the spot is across the street from a few hotels and around the corner from several developments. It would make more sense to put one of those two restaurants there than another bar that will fail.

in the last 15 years this location had 4 different owners. None have succeeded
What the problem? location location location?

Coming from a close family I am sorry you feel that way.
My family likes to get together often and with the growing new additions it would be nice to have a place to go eat when they visit OC that does not include the drunk party crowd.
Besides midnight munchies for pancakes are great even if you don't have kids!

Anonymous said...

Tuff on a restaurant located there....Waterman’s is a much nicer place with excellent food and cold draft beers!!!

WTF does cancel culture have to do with family? Is it not PC to do things together as a family now? Is that racist too? How is it offensive or outdated to simply put forth an idea that if bars have not been successful try a family restaurant? Families do come to OC for vacation too.

Not enough nipples and dimes to pay the bills. The owner left the north end owing thousands.
