SHOCKING STATS ABOUT FATHERLESS HOMES

I grew up without a father and have done very well for myself. I had a strong and wonderful mother.

3:00 PM - But did you have an adult male in your childhood and adolescence, like a grandfather or other relative or family friend or neighbor?

Same here. Child of divorce whose father decided no room for old family with new family. Grandpa was father figure.
I do believe there is much to be said for 300s point. If one parent is missing the solo parent needs to be an upstanding individual to offset the statistics. A good extended support system also makes a difference. If solo parent is out partying and being selfish the child has no positive role model. Expecting couples to stay together for the sake of the child can also do damage if one parent is irresponsible or violent.
I know kids raised by fathers who weren't worth a damn because mother died and the kids were all screwed up. I know those raised by moms who never should have had children. What children need is a positive role model in their parents, single or together.
If people aren't willing to make necessary sacrifices for their children they shouldn't have children at all. We are encouraged to spay and neuter pets. I have seen several people over the years who also should be fixed!

@3:00 I did't have any real adult males in my childhood that were anywhere near good. I've never even met one of my grandfathers and the other was absent for the most part. I did have some very good role models in my early 20's that were male. I just had a strong mother who kept me on the right path.

If the government would not offer financial rewards to single females for having children the problem would be reduced significantly.

@July 21, 2020 at 12:53 PM. You hit the nail right on the head. Either they are pregnant right before graduation or right after. Then straight to the welfare office and they WILL qualify for welfare because their own kind wait on them. They get the check and then they let the streets raise the little thug. They can't be bothered while watching the soap operas and stuffing their face of doing their drugs or drinking their liquor or in the act of making another child to get a raise in their check. Welfare needs to be stopped. It should be, get a job or get nothing. Then all you would hear in the office, would be crickets.
