There are 8 levels of control; read the following recipe:
1) Healthcare - Control healthcare and you control the people.
2) Poverty - Increase the poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them.
3) Debt - Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
4) Gun Control - Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government That way you are able to create a police state.
5) Welfare - Take control of every aspect (food, housing, income) of their lives because that will make them fully dependent on the government.
6) Education - Take control of what people read and listen to and take control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion - Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools because the people need to believe in ONLY the government knowing what is best for the people.
8) Class Warfare - Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. Eliminate the middle class This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to tax the wealthy with the support of the poor

MacNamara vehemently assured the Country that Krushchev was a lunatic and our missile defenses could repel attacks from any foreign power and in the same breath revealed school children would be safe because of up coming nuclear drills in the classroom.
All this fear culminated just ahead of the Cuban missile Crisis, Bay of Pigs, and two Americans being killed in the No-Mans-Land inside the Berlin zone of the wall. After that Frances Gary Powers, the U-2 pilot shot down over the USSR was traded for two Russian spies and domiciled for debriefing
at the then Dupont estate at Royal Oak, in Talbot County.
Now, If 1:36 wants to challenge me with his defective History repertoire I'd be glad to meet him in the basement at SU where all the historical archives of these events are stored. Of course this would require a substantial bet $. I also have three classmates,my age,who would enjoy participating. One of which was an Honor Student her whole scholastic endeavor.

History has also shown there has NEVER been a TRUE communist country as Marx intended (yes I have read Marx) because DICTATORS take over. Countries might label themselves as communist but they are really being run under the power of a dictatorship.
The closest any groups have ever come to a pure communism are the hippie communes where everyone worked and shared everything including each other!

First, I am not 136. I am an avid history junkie but since the area is so broad I admit it is impossible to know everything about everything. I am fascinated at the idea of the archives you mentioned. Which SU building would these be in and who should I contact about looking them up? Most of what I have been able to find online has attributed the quote to Regan in 1961 as something Krushev said in 59. The only thing I have been able to find about the 1959 quote was a comment about "We will bury you".
I am not doubting those who remember the date, I am just highly interested in the primary source materials.

This is garbage. I'll take it point by point.
Healthcare is controlled by insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies, Capitalist companies who are buying and selling politicians for legislation to fill their pockets. America is the ONLY 1st world country with out universal healthcare, all the other DEMOCRATIC CAPITALIST countries that have this get better care, at lower costs.
Poverty - Capitalism, and squashing Unions. Corporate profits have gone up for the last 40 years, as have shareholder payouts and CEO pay. Labor wages have remained stagnant. This is Capitalism at work, NOT socialism.
Debt - Again, this is Capitalism and the free market making money available for purchase at a cost. This is done by banks, in a capitalist system. When they fail, our Government bailed them out.
Gun Control - The U.S. is one of the most heavily armed societies in history. You would be hard pressed to find a politician bent on taking away all guns. Won't happen.
Welfare- 21.3% of Americans are on some sort of welfare. That's not anywhere close taking over every aspect of anything. Also, a lot of the reason people are on welfare is because of Poverty, so reference above.
Education - The government in no way has told anyone what they can read or listen to. We are the freest country in the world when it comes to this. Education is paramount to have a leading society, and there is private education, home schooling, and kids are in school for what, 7 hours a day? Most of what they learn is Math, Writing, English, History.... just how much time do you think is devoted to being "re-education" classes? What happens to these kids when they go home, they get nothing from their parents?
Religion - Our government IS, and ALWAYS has been a Secular Republic that ensures and protects religious freedom and liberty of all citizens. People don't get to procelytize in schools without the consent and oversight of parents... but there ARE religious groups in schools, prayers and flag poles... this charge here is patently FALSE.
Class Warfare - See above. Corporate control, Capitalism, and the suppression of wages.
And, NONE of this is the Democrat agenda. I defy anyone to find a manefesto or Democrat platform that matches any of this.

Democrats are half of our nation, and they are AMERICANS.
