Maryland Fishing Report

White perch are providing excellent fishing opportunities during these summer months. They are spread throughout the entire Chesapeake Bay, populations are abundant, and many are of a large size

A mix of blue and channel catfish are ready to provide plenty of entertainment for anglers fishing with cut bait, clam snouts, and other favorite baits in most of the tidal rivers within the region.

Tidal rivers around the Chesapeake have expanding populations of northern snakeheads.

Ahhh, fishing in our bay, is good around the 50 bridge ... It is pretty good out in the ocean..especially flounder. Crabs in the assawoman bay especially north is good this time of year too. Aug and Sept they will be fat fat fat.

I thought blue channel catfish and snakeheads were invasive species,
why are we promoting them???
