As Cristina Laila reported earlier — Notre Dame on Monday withdrew from hosting a presidential debate scheduled for September 29 due to concerns over COVID-19.
Notre Dame announced: After consultation with Dr. Mark Fox, St. Joseph County deputy health officer, and with the unanimous support of the Executive Committee of the University’s Board of Trustees, Father Jenkins made what he called “this difficult decision because the necessary health precautions would have greatly diminished the educational value of hosting the debate on our campus.”
“I am grateful to the many members of the University community who have devoted countless hours planning this event, and to the Commission on Presidential Debates leadership for their professionalism and understanding,” said the Rev. John Jenkins, the president of Notre Dame, in a statement. “But in the end, the constraints the coronavirus pandemic put on the event — as understandable and necessary as they are — have led us to withdraw.”
Father Jenkins was a Barack Obama supporter despite his radical pro-abortion record.

Nice to see someone step up to quash Notre Dame's obvious political bias.
I can't wait to hear rambling Joe in the debates. Think of how nervous Democrats will be at the thought of Joe speaking live with Trump pushing his buttons. No doubt in my mind he will say some off the wall stuff and ruin the very little chance he has of winning. There's sure to be some nonchalant racist stories and sexist remarks as well. Trump doesn't have to beat Joe, he will beat himself.

The first question asked of Joe Biden at a debate should be either, "What day of the week is this?" or "What is the date of today?" That would show just how far gone he really is.

I don't believe any debates will take place. All venues will cancel do to health concerns.

I don't think there will be a debate. Candidates for President of US should be required to debate issues instead of name calling.

Correct Trump will have to stop continuously so sleepy joe can get his depends changed.
Based on Trump’s recent comments I wouldn’t be so confident. Especially if the witch doctor he recently quoted and tweeted is in attendance.
My guess, and fear, is that Trump will get crushed. As a lifelong Republican I am more than slightly concerned about some of his more recent statements and tweets about CV19.

I am concerned about everything Trump says / tweets.
He appears to be "throwing" the election.
He is NOT conservative in the least.
He did NOT build a wall, and Mexico did not pay for it.
Hillary (his good friend) was never even charged much less in prison.
America has more debt than ever before and is in the process of completely destroying its currency - so it is NOT GREAT.
I too am conservative.
I hate the Democrat Party with a passion.
I hate communism.
But I will be vilified for writing the truth about Trump.
That my friends, is a problem.
The Trumpers are not coherent or intelligent at all.
The Democrats are communists.
I am disgusted with the state of the Country.
I agree and as painful as it is to say I Hope Trump gets crushed and all indications are that he will. Then the Republicans can focus on rebuilding the party with an inclusive right/center agenda.
