About 95 percent of the US is currently on some form of lockdown after PresidentDonald Trump issued guidelines that called for 30 days of measures to slow the spread of the virus.
The government projections, obtained by the New York Times, indicate that lifting the strict social distancing measures now in place will see a second wave surge in infections and deaths in about June and July.
If the current shelter-in-place orders are lifted on May 30, the death total is estimated to reach 200,000, according to the projections obtained from the departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services.
The death toll could reach 300,000 without any restrictions imposed to contain coronavirus - including school closings, shelter-in-place orders and social distancing.

What planet do you live on? 204 Covid patients in hospitals right now in little ole Delaware, 1761 infected and 41 people have died.
In NYC, over 18,000 are currently in hospitals. 105,000 infected, and 6898 deaths.
That's with 40% of the population staying home. That's with less than 25% of people hospitalized in NYC being tested, that's with who knows what % of people in US not being tested.
Imagine if people weren't asked to remained to home!
Let's be rational here! What has there been 10,000 or so deaths in the United States from this virus? What about the 400-500,000 deaths that occur annually from cancer and heart disease? Why is it that's so readily accepted and exploited by big pharma? What about the 200,000 plus deaths from the drug epidemic? With all the lawsuits from the opioid crisis big pharma merely turned up the heat on ALL the congressman and women that they've bought and paid for. Now their making money hand over fist producing ventilators, test kits and hopefully a vaccine to cover all the losses from the opioid settlements. If you truly believe this was accidental you're dumber than your leadership actually thinks you are. They've admitted guilt in EVERY questionable occurrence that has happened when the facts were undeniable. Your government is nothing but liars and thieves. A 2.2 trillion dollar stimulus (just the beginning) hurriedly approved giving 50-70 million people a mesely 1200 dollars. Somehow it never adds up and the rest of taxpayers money just disappears. Who wants to bet this will get better AFTER the November election? If President Trump wins, the Dems will start virus hearings to try to impeach him again. If Senator Biden wins, the Dems will blame President Trump for the bad economy and say that Mr. Biden has to raise taxes to "fix" it.
