A microbiology lab has announced the development of a new test – the first in the U.S. – to detect if someone has already been infected with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and are thus immune and can return to work.
The lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, led by Dr. Florian Krammer, says it is now rushing to distribute key ingredients for the tests to other organizations and share the testing procedure.
“Ultimately, this [antibody test] might help us figure out who can get the country back to normal,” Florian Krammer, a professor in vaccinology at Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine, told Reuters. “People who are immune could be the first people to go back to normal life and start everything up again.”

Sign me up. I had it mid January. I would love to be tested.
And how long do the antibodies last in your system before you are susceptible to getting the virus again ?
11:23 me too, had it early Feb. Had a fever of 102.8 for 4 days. Tylenol and ibuprofen didn’t even touch the fever and it lasted probably 10 days all together with the coughing and all the other stuff. It was pretty rough but makes me wonder if I had this or just the regular flu.
12:03 I don't think anyone knows just yet. How many people are being tested just "because" Should we all be tested.
Sitting here reading all about which stocks to invest in before the Market goes up. I don't want to jump on the "cruise" stock bandwagon just yet. Buy low sell high is the motto. Have a great weekend stuck at home or wherever😂😂😂

Same, 102 , cough, cant breathe, 10+ days, flu negative, xrays look like corona xrays only the doctors didnt have a clue because it wasnt on their radar
and now survivors are retesting positive and possible carriers which is going to make a vaccine very difficult
we'd all have to contract this thing and survive it to move forward
I think I did as well, following a conference in Orlando. If I’m immune, I would be volunteering like crazy to pick up and deliver food, help people in any way. Imagine how profoundly helpful this could be.
So are you guys saying we don’t need to be going through all of this? It’s just flu
