New York City alone has 6,211 cases, an increase of about 1,800, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said Saturday morning that the number of coronavirus cases in the state has increased by more than 3,000 and now tops 10,000.
The state has conducted 45,437 tests, he said, and now has a total of 10,356 coronavirus cases.
"The more tests you take, the more positives you find," he said, adding that New York is now conducting more tests per capita than China or South Korea.

Sanctuary cities hit the hardest
And cities with Democrat mayors.
Is New York State the same as China?
Of course more positive tests. More tests being done. This virus has been in China since last year of course it made it here by the beginning of the year. The virus has most likely been here since the beginning of January. I'm sorry about people dying from this disease but people die every day, survival of the fittest is a real thing. The disease will take its course in due time. We have to ask ourselves do we want to be smart and take reasonable and calculated precautions or do we want to wreck our economy. It's up to us what happens. Not the media, not the government and not bloggers and websites. Grow up people and take control of your pathetic lives. Betting this never sees the light of day.
I keep hearing "shortage of beds in hospitals" yet the hospitals tell you to stay home. The numbers quoted are people actually sick with symptoms not just tested positive? I have complete faith in President Trump.
