Incident: Thefts of Burial Site Ornaments
Date of Incident: Various
Location: 27260 Ocean Gateway, Hebron, Maryland
Narrative: The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is currently investigating numerous reports of thefts from grave sites at Springhill Memory Gardens. To date, over a hundred items have been recovered. Investigators are actively working to identify those responsible and charge them to the fullest extent possible.
At this time, it is estimated that there may be as many as several hundred victims. Investigators believe that there may be victims still outstanding who are unaware of these thefts. The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone who has had any such items stolen from the Springhill Memory Gardens grounds to contact Detective Clark at 410-548-4892, extension 229. Persons who have already made reports with the Sheriff’s Office do not need to call again.
Additionally, any persons with information about the identity of those responsible are asked to contact the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Solvers of the Lower Eastern Shore at 410-548-1776. Information may be provided anonymously. Any person providing information leading to an arrest in this case may be eligible for a cash reward.

They are urns for holding flower arrangements. They are made of bronze and worth quite a bit even as scrap metal.
The people that did this are SCUM!!! They should be made to write letters appoligizing to the familys that were affected along with being made to reinstall them and throw in some hefty fines and jail time
i'm not sure i understand these thefts. surely no scrap yard would purchase these knowing where they came from right? maybe i'm mistaken.
To steal from cemeteries is lower than a snake's belly may the trial and sentencing here on earth be quick but the worse is yet to come when they meet their maker.
"Ornaments" may be metal military or patriotic group markers or nice vases at the base of headstones. If you are missing something from a loved one's grave, report it and describe what is missing. The sheriff's office may have it. Question is, where were they found if they are looking for those responsible?

The week of deer season for the youth hunt I saw a smaller SUV parked by the service building three black men had the hatch open. I had two young hunters and did not want to drive back there but is was 5 in the morning just did not look right. Sorry should have called someone I am sure there was no reason to be there at that hour.

Todd Richardson is nothing more than Mike Lewis' secretary!! He's collecting disability from another agency I believe then the three Amigo's Lewis, Baker and Richardson got Lewis' sherriff$ takeover off and running. Lewis' hand picked department managers have gotten their shares out of the deal
I've had dealings with Todd Richardson when I considered applying to the department years ago.
I found Todd Richardsons demeanor to be rude, arrogant, and self fulfilling.
My interview for the deputy's position was more about his accomplishments
or fantasies in life ,
as a Air Borne Ranger, F.B.I. master shooting school, and his all his accomplishments in a stern voice were directed at me as if I gave a F--k.
I did not need to reflect to hard; should joining the department would all be about kissing Todd's and little Napoleon Lewis's Ass.
So, I opened my own buisness and became successful after retiring in Rank from 25 years of State Service.

Use a weighted decorative plastic urn. Your loved ones will never know the difference, and the thieves will just be disappointed.
