If you are dead, you don’t need to be getting Social Security benefits, says North Carolina Congressman Ted Budd.
The Republican lawmaker is launching a new initiative – “Budd’s Budget Busters” – to identify wasteful government spending and propose more efficient alternatives.
The primarily focus is to curb federal government expenditures on individuals who are no longer alive.
The Republican congressman describes the program as “a new effort to highlight and push for common sense ways that Congress can cut government waste and save taxpayer money.”
“In order to cut government waste, we’ve really got to highlight it,” Budd told The Todd Starnes Show on Thursday. “We’re also going to come out with a solution to fix it.” Budd said identifying a wasteful government problem will be a weekly, reoccurring agenda.

I wish all of these "experts" would stop fu**ing with the benefits of dead people. We need the income for reasons that are different that people who are alive. Do people think keeping your voter registration from heaven is easy?

We pay into Social Security our entire living wage life. We should be able to leave our remaining Social Security benefits to our children,grandchildren our our surviving spouse.
I believe when a person passes and they have minor children, the remaining ss goes to the children. In the event all children are grown, I would think this would go to the spouse.
Tax payers should not be paying for welfare payments called Supplemental Security Income from the SSI account.
Or to anyone else incl Govt < Only the surviving family should
get it !!! Passed down to the generations of those Who paid
into it !!!
