National Weather Service confirms 5 tornadoes in Maryland on Friday

WESTMINSTER, Md. —The National Weather Service confirmed five tornadoes ripped across Maryland on Friday morning.

According to officials, EF-1 tornadoes ripped through Carroll and Cecil counties, while an EF-0 tornado and an EF-1 tornado were confirmed in western Montgomery County.

An EF-1 tornado was confirmed in the Monrovia area of Frederick County.

The Carroll County tornado went across the central part of the county, causing erratic damage, with wind speed up to 90 mph. Trees and limbs snapped in a severe storm Friday.

Sooner or later these will come into the small Island of Ocean City as the storm did of 1933.


This resort is paved with streets, stores parking lots, and road ways.

Ocean City has been over built, and these type of storms will reek havoc on the Town
