Action Taken/ Resolution: The military ordnance was inspected and deemed to be a military marine flare. The Office of the State Fire Marshal Bomb Squad personnel subsequently disposed of the military marine flare.
Assisting Agencies: Dorchester County Sheriff's Office and Dorchester County EMS
Additional Information: The owner discovered the military ordnance while commercially harvesting oysters in the Chesapeake Bay, and contacted the proper authorities after arriving to his home residence.
