Maryland House lawmakers to ask ‘tough questions’ about Gov. Hogan’s business dealings since taking office

As Maryland’s lawmakers opened their annual legislative session on Wednesday, House of Delegates Speaker Adrienne A. Jones said she expects delegates will ask “tough questions” about Gov. Larry Hogan’s business dealings.

Jones, a Democrat, said a subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee would have jurisdiction to look into Hogan’s business affairs while in office. Since becoming governor in 2015, Hogan stepped aside from his Annapolis-based Hogan Cos. real estate business and turned his assets over to be managed by a trust.

“We do have a committee that would be looking at that and may have a briefing as relates to that,” Jones said at an “Annapolis Summit” event hosted by The Daily Record.

In a later statement, Jones’ chief of staff, Alexandra Hughes, indicated that any questions about whether Hogan Cos. sites have benefited from state transportation projects could come as the committee reviews the administration’s transportation proposals as part of the regular budget process.

Floating a story line this in the media is how the elites remind their puppets (Mr Hogan) to do what they say to do.

He is about to do something else soon which is not in the People’s best interest.

9:33 AM just read about this. For one month of 2017, Trumps travel costs totaled $13.6 million. POTUS has made 22 more trips since then. Eric's trip to a building in Uruguay in 2017 cost us $97,000 (He was there visiting a Trump building under construction). Interestingly enough, Treasury Secretary Mnunchin drafted a bill that would delay the release of the Secret Services budget until after the 2020 election. Now I voted for Trump but I'm sick of seeing him golf our money away! Help our veterans, hell even build the wall with that. Just my 2 cents

9:33 I dont care what Pres Trumps expenses are . He has earned them. This man did not have to do this he was set for life and most people admired him. He does not take a salary and unlike his predecessors he is actually made life better and helped the average American citizen instead of selling us down the river unlike the previous administrations.

Maryland has a long rich history of Governors that have been indicted, or convicted of crimes. Remember Spiro and Mandel?
