Baltimore City slid further into chaos and just broke its highest ever per-capita homicide rate after recording its 347th murder on Monday.
With about 602,000 residents, Baltimore City's homicide rate breached 57 per 100,000 residents after 13 people have been murdered since Dec. 21.
The annual death toll has only hit 342 on two other occasions, onetime in 2017 and another in 2015. Breaching the 342 level to 347 is uncharted territory and suggests the situation will get worse in 2019.
This is the 5th year the city has recorded murders over 300, due mostly to the Ferguson effect post-2015 riots and socio-economic deterioration in the town.

The number of 57 homicides per 100,000 residents is actually considerably higher when factoring out white residents, who only account for barely 30% of the population and are much less likely to be murdered.
The cause and the only cause is the complete breakdown of the black family. Black skanks who can't keep their legs shut and will let any thug hump them It's disgusting and if they had any morals they would be ashamed at the babies they keep on making illegitimately They need to be told how gross and disgusting they are. Those babies aren't cute. They are nothing but the next hoes and thugs and that is the truth. Animal are more civilized then these trashy gross waste of air people.

Thank goodness Baltimore has such outstanding hospitals. Just imagine how high that murder rate would be if they were even just mediocre.

I have a friend who is a recently retired Baltimore City Police officer and that is what they have been told to do so they don't risk getting sued or the City getting sued.
They asked for it, and they got it!!!!
That's why most businesses have left the city and have relocated in the suburbs.
When the Ravens win the Super Bowl this year, and the crowds gather to celebrate by chanting "WE'RE NUMBER ONE! WE'RE NUMBER ONE!", will they be referring to the football team or the murder rate?
Those numbers will only get worse until the Orioles have a winning season.

Officially, this murder rate is so very disturbing to the citizens of Baltimore and something needs to be done.
In reality, the white population; the police; the business owners, and probably over half of Black Baltimoreans, are quietly thinking, "You thugs are doing GREAT! Don't slow down now! Don't stop 'til you run out of bullets or bodies!"
"Last man standing call us so WE can come over and pop a cap in your a$$ and finally take our city back."
Once again... thanks to Maryland's Justice Reinvestment Act for playing a sizable role in this...it is literally killing people.
So many killings, its not even news anymore.....or Maryland politicians hope that's the case. That gun control really works good, doesn't it? Try controlling the crime, and not the guns. It's obvious that guns are NOT the problem in Baltimore, otherwise gun control would be making a dent in the killings. More gun control has only led to more killings. But apparently black lives do not matter in Maryland. Tell that to your representatives!
