MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) — Montgomery County residents are twice as likely to become the victim of a violent crime when compared to neighboring Fairfax County, that is according to newly-released statistics compiled by the Montgomery County Police Department.
On Monday, the Montgomery County Public Safety Committee reviewed a packet of 2018 crime data, and then delved into a brief, 20-minute discussion about what the stats meant. Councilmembers Gabe Albornoz (D-At Large), Tom Hucker (D-District 5) and Sidney Katz (D-District 3) make up the Public Safety Committee and were all present for the conversation.
“Generally speaking, we do very well as it relates to other jurisdictions," Assistant Police Chief Dinesh Patil stated during the meeting. “I think Fairfax is probably one of the most comparable to us.... I think you see a fair amount of consistency across the board between [our] agencies.”

After this past election's results. I would bet it will start to level out, once the gun control on the law abiding citizens starts to take effect.
Is it a sanctuary county?
Umm, sanctuary county status, high gang presence?
it is a sanctuary county of illegals that Democrats wants to keep to get their votes. I also ask why does Hogan allow them Maryland Drivers License?
MD democrats have had more time to take down the state than VA democrats. But, give them time and they will catch up.
I was surprised (not) to read through the whole article and see them wonder just how this could be true, blame all kinds of outside circumstances, but NEVER connect their Sanctuary policy to any of it.
That is THE big factor.
Democrats are proud of this Sanctuary County. Don't you want all Maryland counties to be like Montgomery County?
Double Fairfax county crime what is that like 2/5 of crime in Salisbury.
Full of muslims.
