BALTIMORE (WBFF) Dr. Maya Rockeymoore Cummings has resigned as Chair of the Maryland Democratic Party amid rumors that she is running for her late husband's congressional seat.
According to a spokesperson, Dr. Cummings resigned at the party's meeting on Monday. Cory McCray, Baltimore City State Senator and former Vice Chair of the Maryland Democratic Party, is now Interim Chair of the Party.
The 7th Congressional seat became available after Congressman Cummings passed away on October 17 following longstanding health challenges.
Regarding the Maryland Democratic Party, a statewide meeting of the Democratic State Central Committee will be scheduled within the next two months to elect a permanent Chair.

Well all I have to say for the folks in Cummings District - is that you can expect the same - (crime, poverty, drugs, riots, killings, prostitution, ghettos). If things were deplorable while Elijah was in office, then what makes one believe that things will get better when his 'cloned' wife takes the oath of office.
Some Districts are just 'born losers' when it comes electing their officials.

Crowded field...Kweise Mfume wants his old seat back, former mayor Stallings-Ross wants back into the money, his former aide wants the job. Maya is banking on the sympathy vote- widow and having a pre-emptive double mastectomy on 11/15. Even 3 of the minority Republicans are in the race.

The media only "gives her respect" because she hates President Trump and Conservatives.
The problem with cities in America is that whites moved out and blacks stayed behind breeding like cockroaches. They, like Muslims and Mexicans, are quickly making white America the minority race.
Wake up people, start having more kids or we will be a minority race in 20 years living in a $hithole. Is this what you want for your kids and grandkids?
