Hi All,
I want to thank everyone who supported my campaign, and to the people that voted for me (especially Joe). Like many of you, I am seriously concerned about the well being of Salisbury. Debt is my biggest concern (along with high crime). Progressives love to spend money, and many times on the wrong things. Jake has managed to raise Salisbury's debt 23.3% in less than 4 years and there is more debt to come before he takes off for Annapolis in 2 years to run for Lt. Governor. I will expect tax increases in the coming years and/or the water and sewage cost increases (40% of Salisbury's income comes from sewage and water).
I sent this letter (see below) to help wake up the GOP, but to no avail, this letter wasn't even answered. The Republican party is dead in MD. It's a real shame. BUT, look at the bright side we still have President Trump! Please vote in the national contest coming up in a year and vote TRUMP!
I will be at Carribean Joe's tomorrow (Saturday) at 5PM. Please come on down and let's have a few cold ones together.

Wayne, let me start off by saying I'm a die-hard Republican. However, that being said I still would have not voted for you. You came into this town with this entitlement attitude and everything you have said since day one has been nothing but negativity. I can't get down with that or stand behind somebody that is completely negative. There's just no way to move forward and better Salisbury with that outlook. You made several personal attacks against the Mayor instead of just putting forth better ideals. I personally watched the debate Joe posted on his site in full and it was just hands down a loss in your corner. Lastly, you said many things about Jake's personal character... I personally served alongside him in the military and can accurately state many of the things you said were indeed not accurate. I don't agree with Jake's political party at all. However, jod personal character is hard to follow and he indeed is a great human being. That said, try to see some good in the city and take the L humbly. Come up with reasonable, conservative and Realistic solutions to better the downsides of the city.

There is no and has not been a Republican Party in Wicomico county since the early 1970's. It is a club for political Elitists, no different than joining the local Elks or Moose lodge. You can join but never think you have a chance of getting their support for office unless you are out buying drinks for them at the local watering holes. They could care less about being Republican or following the platform it is a popularity contest. Same with the election board. I was born and raised in Salisbury, 61yrs here! When I came of voting age I tried to get involved in the local Republican party as my parents were and quickly learned that unless the elitist introduce you expect to be treated as a nobody, an outsider. As far as the state committee goes, they could care less, when you have an election and no Republican at all running that right there tells you the state committee just doesn't care. Look at the people who are there and claim to be Republicans! Has anyone else walked in to a meeting and felt so un-welcome, does anyone come up and say how glad they are you showed up? Not going to happen here! It is their private club, run how they like it! In my opinion nothing but a bunch of backstabbing, drunken idiots only interested in trying to raise their social standing!! That is my take on the Republican party in Wicomico county! Go ahead try to sit in on a meeting and see how welcome you feel.....

Anyone willing to run for office to face the tasks at hand in addition to going behind this administration's damage and try to repair it, deserves my ears. Especially with the small pay scale that would come along with those duties. My gut tells me that money and power are NOT the primary reason for anyone that would run for that position. I feel empathy for the person that comes in office after Day.
I listened to King's interview on PAC14 and I thought the guy made some valid points. He is certainly genuine.
Unfortunately I was not able to vote in Salisbury's election but Mr. King certainly should not give up with politics in the County.

I he/she and Wayne walked into a Republican club meeting you as a "die hard Republican" would be the first to turn your back on a "fellow" Republican! Wayne, I am sorry for your loss. It actually is OUR loss. I know you are disappointed, yet if elected you would experience the same issues as President Trump. It's a loaded deck of good ole boys in Salisbury. That alone is an overwhelming task to compete against. The best the Republicans in this area can hope for is a slate of Republicans running for change. Lone wolves fall easy prey.

I have said for the last 10 years that there is no Republican party on the Eastern Shore and very small Republican Party in the State of Maryland. That is why I don't attend the fake Republican meetings. The Republican club on the Shore is a bunch of drunks that get their say and your say is ignored because they believe their way is the only way so shut up and do as we tell you. They are a very cynical group that is worst than the "Homeboy" group that runs Salisbury. They never have fresh ideas.

The Republican Club had one true conservative President then he ran for office and they turned on him too. The attendance was the highest and membership reached out to the county and not just the city. Its dead now which is unfortunate with the next Presidential Cycle coming up.

I voted for King and Campbell & talked to both in front of Oak Ridge Church.I really wanted King to win.
Shawn Jester, a supposed Republican, backed Jake and Jake backed socialist Angela Blake. So Shawn lost. He had the chance to work with me as a Republican. Let's just say, not a good move by him. Jester worked so hard, and Jake back stabbed him for the socialist. Jake now has a rubber stamp in the council. In 2 years Heath will be the next mayor. The mayoral race should be partisan, so these dopey Republicans will then, should, might, have to support the GOP candidate; instead of using the non-partisan election as an excuse not to support the GOP candidate. The truth of the matter is that they are all in bed with each other. Party means nothing to them. Just the thickness of their wallet. A socialist breaks all the rules of the Republican manifesto. Fake Republicans couldn't care less. Selfies are more important. The GOP is dead here. A Damn shame!

Answer this one my husband and I voted by Absentee ballots mailed to our homes. We voted as did everyone else 11/5 and put in city mail receptacle that am so would be post marked 11/5. On Thurs 11/7/19 we received two voter ballots after the election and we had already voted. What happened to our votes and how many more did this happen too? cause for concern yes. I called the Board of Elections Fri 11/8 and was told they did not know what voter forms marked vote by 11/7 were mailed and they did not know if they had our votes someone would get back to us maybe this coming Tues 11/12/19 when that person returned to work!
6:36 PM if you served with Jake in the military then you must know the fabrication he tried to tell Salisbury before he won his non-contested appointment four years ago. There were people that knew him in the military four years ago and stated that his military record was all lies who are we to believe we have been told so many lies from is own lips in the past four years. He has accomplished nothing he promised four years ago less crime is more crime, clean the River no not a bucket full, the blue things in the roads for signaling a fire hydrant close to our firemen, not so they equipment on their trucks better than those things we paid for. The orange bikes that were left all over our streets, ditches, and all over Rt 13 not needed- and then returned more lost $, He tore down the fence along Riverwalk where the Festivals took place causing two drownings, The round a bouts that are a nightmare, bike paths ditto, and our streets are worse than 4 years ago, and Main Street will be finished when we have been given 3 dates that have passed. Will 1 person tell us something he has really accomplished that has been completed. Were waiting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And...the GSC will continue to run Salisbury and support the financial well-being of their members, most of them not city residents.
I am a registered Democrat who is ashamed of the agenda of my party and voted for OUR president and supported Mr. King. Sorry for the outcome of the local election, but hope that Wayne continues to bring awareness to important city issues. Sometimes that’s an even more beneficial role to play.
Did he finish the dog park? That might be his biggest accomplishment. Jake also accomplished to give us more debt and more section 8 housing. For what???? I mean for him. He only does things for himself. Even as he lines the pockets of the good ole boys; it really is for him. Jake uses everyone.
My friend said "but I heard we need more low income housing".
I said, "we need better paying jobs, then we won't need more section 8"
And by the way, she doesn't live near booth st, or pemberton, or any other section 8 housing. Wouldnt be caught dead in one of those neighborhoods.
