Let’s have a contest to see which government agency is spending the most money on unnecessary mailings.
Today I got this in the mail.
120 pages worth of info I didn’t ask for or need.
Most seniors have access to the internet to look up anything they want about Medicare.
If not they can request one of these booklets.
However to send this out to everyone 65 or over is a waste of tax payer’s money.
How much do you think this cost us???

Well, I guess it makes as much sense as building a County Library in Ocean City which posts a note on their billboard "access online databases". Honestly, when CURRENT librarians retire, who will take their place? The kids access online databases from their home and haven't a clue what a "dewy decimal system" is so they can't.
I don't know who you are but you need to understand the thinking process of our government in today's world.
Each branch of our government has a budget which they must spend in order to acquire more money the following year. They don't care how or what it's spent on , as long as it is 100% used . After 8 years of obama spending your money it has become the thing to do.
My company did a budget yearly and we had a line item process that would account for everything down to pencils and paper. We were not allowed to use the last years budget as a guide. It took about a month to complete our 55 million budget , it worked well and has been a very profitable organization. That's how you do a budget.
Back to the government ,it is more liberal than conservative , it will take years to get out of the syndrome of obama rule , if ever .
Trump has had 2 years , he will get to it in his last 4 years. Hang in there sugar , realize that 50% of the government is wasted money!

It is a very helpful government mailing that reaches many seniors that don't have internet access. You have your opinion, but mine is that it is absolutely NOT a waste of government (my) money. Medicare is an ENTITLEMENT for most seniors 65 & up. Knowing what they are entitled to,what it covers, what the choices are (there are many), and how to apply is valuable information, and will require decisions that will affect the rest of a seniors life. This is not a senseless public information product, and it is complex and requires all those pages to explain. The internet was search, search, search, for each and every topic that was covered in that one publication. Go complain about something else that matters. Throw your copy in the trash, if it bothers you.
