A witness to the shooting massacre at an El Paso, Texas Walmart on Saturday has said that he feels inspired to buy a larger fire arm in order to protect himself and his family in the event of another shooting.
In an interview, 26-year-old Alden Hall said he regrets that he did not have a gun with him during the shooting incident, as he felt he could have protected some of the victims. Hall, an army specialist, also said that he would like either an assault rifle or a larger handgun to be an effective combatant to a would-be shooter.
"I didn't think that I would need an assault rifle or a bigger handgun, but after seeing that yesterday all things are possible," Hall said of his plans to buy a larger weapon. He also cited Texas' conservative gun laws, avowing that he intends to buy an assault rifle to act in defense.
