Cities Spreading Brain Disease With Sewage

Time To Reform Wastewater Management

Thanks to flawed risk assessments, cities are spreading an unstoppable pathogen when they spread sewage sludge on land. It’s time to reclassify sewage sludge and biosolids as infectious waste and put it in landfills, not on farms, ranches, forests, golf courses, school grounds and parks. As scientists have been saying for years, sewage sludge isn’t fertilizer–it’s toxic waste, nuclear waste and infectious waste all rolled into one.

Neurodegenerative disease, including Alzheimer’s disease, is the fastest-growing cause of death in the world. It’s getting worse every day thanks to mismanagement and misinformation.

Infectious proteins known as prions are involved with most forms of neurodegenerative disease. Prion disease is known in neurology as transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE). The operative word is “transmissible.” Prions are a deadly and unstoppable form of protein that migrates, mutates, multiplies and kills with unparalleled efficiency. The global TSE epidemic has more to do with the prion contagion than age.

Still think it's OK to allow this idiot Harcum to poison the Delmarva peninsula with waste he's spreading on all the farmland? He's spread everything from treated human waste from the city of Philadelphia to this so called treated poultry waste. This process is ruining every source of water around, from your drinking/ well water to your so called treasured chesepeake bay with the runoff!!

“So called treasured Chesapeake Bay”? What kind of moron would question the value of one of this nations greatest natural resource?
