The New York Post has called for Mayor Bill de Blasio to be removed from his position because he 'does not care' about the people of the city.
In an extraordinary editorial, the publication claimed de Blasio is responsible for the deaths of children because of child services failures and is also to blame for the growing number of homeless on city streets.
It called on Governor Andrew Cuomo to remove de Blasio, 'for the good of the city'.
It also highlighted how De Blasio gave his wife $850 million for her ThriveNYC mental-health initiative, and when questioned by the City Council, 'she couldn’t come up with one thing it succeeded in doing'.
The editorial comes after de Blasio defended being 1,000-miles away in Iowa when 73,000 New Yorkers were left without power during a blackout on Saturday night.

NY is one F***ed up state!
East Coast version of California!!
DeBlasio is a loon; Cuomo is a loon...two loons don't make a right. DeBlasio is a disgrace and cannot move the meter on his presidential bid but also is not able to realize he is a bust. Wouldn't the fact that few people show up at one's campaign event register as unpopularity? Not to DeBlasio.
Yeah, but it was “The People” of New York City that voted for and put DeBlasio in as Mayor of New York City.
How much longer before reelection. NY may just want to vote him out rather than spend more money on this self centered useless politician.
Wasn't until progressives moved in from CA.
I hope he isn't getting paid while he is out on big turd tour.
Hahaha Thrive, what a scam
