President Donald Trump has weighed in on the controversy over Virginia Governor Ralph Northam's racist 1984 yearbook photo, calling the Democrat's behavior 'unforgivable'.
He blasted the Democrat's decision to claim that he is not one of the men in the medical school yearbook photo depicting a man in blackface and another in a Ku Klux Klan robe - just a day after apologizing for its appearance in his medical school yearbook.
Northam held a bizarre press conference on Saturday in which he denied being the man in the photo, but also admitted once wearing black face for a performance as Michael Jackson in a dance competition. At one point, his wife also appeared to stop him performing the Moonwalk.
He also refused to resign despite widespread calls among top Democrats for him to do so, including from Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Tim Kaine and Elizabeth Warren.
