Duke University along with 93 other colleges, is demanding the Methodist church stop believing that homosexuality is incompatible with Christian teaching and accept members of the LGBTQ+ community into the church.
Duke University, along with 93 other colleges affiliated with the Methodist Church, is calling on the denomination to change its beliefs, by accepting “gender identity/expression” and “sexual orientation” within the church.
These sweeping demands are derived from the National Association of Schools & Colleges of The United Methodist Church (NASCUMC), whose members signed ajoint statement calling on church leaders to secure full access to all members of the LGBTQ+ community.

A public university demanding a church change its doctrine??? WTH? Now THERE"S a separation of church and state issue, if I ever saw one. Go pound sand Duke. You have no right to demand anything from a church.

This crap puts me in mind of blacks wanting in certain schools and when there want their own student union, etc. If these people aren't accepted by Methodist go elsewhere. You can't have it all. If somebody doesn't want me around them, I am glad to stay away. Why the heck do you want to be where you aren't wanted. You are not special or better. Get your head straight and step off. Today's society just refuses to play by the rules or standards.
So this school of so called, "Higher Learning" is now saying GOD is wrong?!?!
God said "Man must not lay with another man as he does with a woman" polite language for don't do sex things with a mans butt!
God wrote the law and rules of life when he made this world, and put humans on it! What a bunch of nuts! God is not wrong, they are!
Jesus didn't address this because he had said that everyone must follow Gods laws! When he said "Love your fellow man" he didn't mean go make love with him! These professors and teachers are nuts, they are trying to destroy this country!
I really wish God would do a redo of Sodom and Gomora on them!
Maybe the Methodist church should agree as long as every student has to take and pass a course on the teachings of the Methodist church.
We won't accept it, but it will be forgiven.
