This was meant to be funny (and still is, seen with the rest of the film), while Smollett's performance wasn't and isn't.

Was the VA Governer in the movie? I had trouble picking him out.
I just want to know when all these hoaxes become a chapter taught to students during Black History Month? After all racism is a big part of that program and since it's obvious racism is non existent anymore and they have to make it up along with hate crimes they need to teach students this. They are real good at talking about all the "sad" chapters in their history and this is the saddest ever. That in order to keep up with black lies they have to make things up.
