Former FBI Director James Comey has challenged a subpoena from House Republicans demanding he appear for a closed-door testimony in federal court.
According to court records, Comey filed a motion to quash - following through on his vow to fight the order unless his testimony was in a public forum - where lawmakers would be significantly restricted as to the scope of questions they might ask.

He has nothing to hide and he opened the investigation he should want to tell all unless he lied?

He'll be suing the committee because they wouldn't let him grandstand and act out on TV in public, which would have given his book deal a shot in the arm. And thus they are taking bread off his table.
At least that would be his version.
Hope the committee members have current vaccinations since they'll be in close proximity to him.
