Dover, Delaware - The Delaware State Police have arrested a New York man in connection with suspected counterfeit products and proceeds during a traffic stop.

The incident occurred on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at approximately 10:06 a.m. when troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Toyota Sienna Van for a traffic violation in the area of the Dover Toll Plaza. The suspect vehicle was traveling southbound in the right lane of (SR 1 Korean War Veterans Memorial Highway) and conducted an improper lane change by erratically switching into the left lane for the EZ-Pass traffic. In addition, the rear of the vehicle had an open bag containing a large amount of U.S. currency. A search warrant for the vehicle was completed and the occupants were transported back to Troop 3, Camden. A Delaware State Police K-9 Unit conducted a canine scan and positively alerted on the vehicle for presence of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle.

The Treasury Department will be laying some charges on him, too, for the counterfeiting and interstate transportation of counterfeit $$ and goods. Needless to say, he isn't alone in this.
