Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh

Change Annapolis

Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh joined another lawsuit against the federal government today - this time, challenging GOP tax reform.

Frosh - along with AG’s from New York, California, etc - say that the elimination of deductions for “high-tax jurisdictions” unfairly target left-leaning states. Perhaps if Brian Frosh, Mike Miller and Martin O’Malley wouldn’t have raised taxes so much, Frosh wouldn’t now be trying to sue his way out of high taxes.

Worth noting — Frosh’s friends in the legislature didn’t return savings from tax reform to Maryland taxpayers. Instead, they kept it for themselves and their big spending programs. Frosh’s political lawsuit fund has to be funded somehow, we guess...

The liberal socialist Democrats always spend spend spend. When they contradict themselves they always get caught in lies. Frosh, Miller, Busch and Hogan does nothing but spend and never cut spending just raise taxes. Yes I include Hogan because he never uses his veto pen. Look at all the money he gives away to Baltimore and the lazy bums that get "free" tax dollars. Hogan lies his ass off. He claims he was against taking retired seniors from parts of the State health insurance and make them seek out private plans, but he signed it and did not veto it. This rogue Republican got caught then tried to explain it differently. He allows the Democrats to bully others including himself.

The Federal action didn't specify Maryland, CA, NY or any other state. It simply placed a cap on the amount of local taxes that could be deducted from your Federal taxes. Totally legit, and in line with Federal authority.

There certainly may be pushback where the ability to get a Federal deduction (in essence, a subsidy) for high local taxes is now reduced.

Maryland could make up a portion of the 'lost' revenue by eliminating the 'go sue the Feds' allowance the Legislature granted Frosh. Don't hold your breath on that prospect.

This guy sums up all that is wrong in the democrat party and is why I and my family will be voting straight R

Maryland should lower it's tax rate to show support for it's over-taxed citizens.
Then it would be inline with Trump's tax plan.

well look at the bright side at least frost isn`t pissing his own money away on these insane lawsuits he`s just pissing tax payers money away. on the not so bright side, we have two people to vote for a democrat at heart governor who is running under a republican flag or a socialst communist who is running under the democrat flag. i think i won`t vote at all and just move out of maryland.

One of the planks in communism is the thought that the government owns all the money.

Typical liberal syndrome, square peg attempting to fit in round hole. This guy makes a mockery of his position and democratic politics. How does anyone take these folks seriously?

For anyone who cares, when the States allowed the Federal income tax to be levied in the early 1900's , the agreement was based on the premise of States rights and no double taxation. This is yet another power grab and accounting "trick" by Trump and Harris to punish the states that voted for Clinton. It is so obvious. Bottom line is a way for the rich to get richer and have someone else pay for it. You people are so easily fooled

I moved to DE to escape MD taxes (lived in MD my whole life), now they imposed an additional tax on my pay because I work in MD (non-resident tax). The claim is that DE workers take jobs from MD people. Bullsh*t! I have the same job that I had when I lived in MD. They are just trying to recover money they were caught improperly taxing DE residents. Now they can legally steal it back. What a POS!

First of all just so you know it was a constitutional amendment and where in that amendment was there an agreement about States rights and double taxation. Nowhere that's where. Quit trying to write revisionist history because you hate Trump.

Frosch is a dyed in the wool socialist. He alone was the reason so many pro 2A bills died in committee when he was a senator and chair of the judicial committee. He hand selected Bobby Zirkin (another anti 2A socialist) when he moved onto AG.
