NJ Governor Proposes 2,400 Percent Tax Increase On Firearms

Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy is proposing legislation that would drastically increase the fees on firearms in New Jersey, hiking the cost to buy and sell guns by up to 2,400 percent.

The proposal includes various steep tax increases such as raising the cost of handgun permits, required to purchase a firearm in New Jersey, from $2 to $50, reports Guns.com.

Other changes include increasing identification card fees 1,900 percent to $100, dealer licenses 900 percent to $500 and manufacturer licenses 900 percent to $1,500.

Fees on carry permits, which are already known for being difficult to acquire in New Jersey, are expected to increase an additional 700 percent to $400. Across the state line inPennsylvania, carry permits are only $20.

NJ Could be the 1st state in the front of the war to enslave us! WE NEED TO fight for our God given right to protect ourselves with equal excessive force against any enemies or foreign domestic!! that includes a tyrannical government a burglar or having to kill a deer to survive. Appears our brother in New Jersey are facing this very survival fact. Like I have said before..after 911 and the Patriot act and everything that has followed has made the US citizens the enemy. this is the domestic enemy mentioned in the oath to uphold the Constitution. Donald Trump is fighting this very force today. It's based on luciferian ideology of lies and deception If we fall for this you know what the results will be

I equate this to the school bus driver throwing all the kids oof the bus because just one won’t behave. Bully all instead taking appropriate action against one.

One challenge to that, if it ever becomes law, and it will be thrown out as unconstitutional. That's no different than just outlawing guns, which the constitution gives the "right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Passing laws that cause "the people" to be unable to reasonably purchase and own firearms would easily be argued as an "infringement" on our 2nd amendment rights.
