This is what happens when you designate your city as a sanctuary city. You flooded with Hispanics and Haitians that consider this a normal practice. Its the whole area, wicomico county is just as bad
Yes the road ways are littered with trash. People are to lazy to wait until they get home to take care of their trash.
It's deplorable also check out chain link fence area around Elks Golf Club, and all the medium strips up & down Rt 13. If they show up the 1st year of the Festival they won't be back. Nothing but tires piled up around Rt 13 North, buildings that are businesses not painted in the last 20 years or so, unsightly is Rt 13 from Fruitland to Delmar. And instead of shrubs planted in front of college just cleaned up strips kept clean and painted would have been cheaper and easier to maintain.
While were talking about the city's deplorable look. Please notify someone in the city don't know if it's electrical or not. There is a line down in front of 307 Washington Street, don't know if cable TV, DPL, or other but it is hanging by overhead wires and is in the street been for about a week. I tried to notify the above last year when the same thing happened elsewhere on the street and nobody wanted to come out it lasted for weeks and weeks they all just wanted to know over the phone who was responsible and make no effort.
I presume if it was alive some child would have gotten electrocuted going or coming from school. Please somebody take a look and fix please.
Take a slow drive down West Road for an eyeful.
Salisbury is one big festival daily from the looks of trash thrown in my yard. It is unbelievable to me how humans (?) can throw food wrappers out of their car or walk by and pitch it wherever they want. So very rude for this trash to sling debris out and I being a disabled senior have to get my grabbers out to pick it up. Some days it's too windy and cold so it has to stay or be blown away.

Contractors too cheap to pay to dump materials, leaving them along the roadside, beer cans and 18 pack boxes, fast food wrappers, etc. Stop being ignorant. It comes down to education, money and upbringing. You don't see trash/litter in Kensington Woods.

Joe it is all over the county as well. I have never seen the ditches so full of trash. Time to get the inmates back out cleaning. I can honestly say it is worse than I have ever seen. Glad you posted this I was just saying this morning how bad Salisbury City and the county have let it go. People need hefty fines for littering. Thanks again. Bob get on the warden get some of those inmates out on the county roads.
Most of the trash in our neighborhood is a direct result of the S.U. kids & their constant partying, & they don't clean it up. Ever. Broken glass everywhere, beer cans & liquor bottles. Gee, I can't figure out why there's move-outs at the end of nearly every semester ; Mommy & Daddy pay for tuition so these knuckleheads can par-ty & flunk out! Don't think the only dealers are the ones that got busted @ "The Zoo", either.

Yes liter is not pretty. But fact is, throwing out paper liter, or wax liter, etc. will in fact disappear in as little as a day if on the highway.
Throw it in the garbage, it goes into a plastic bag, to the landfill, where it piles up and will take years to decay. I have no problem with people leaving paper bags, fast food cups etc. out. they will be gone in days as opposed to left to decay over years of time in a landfill. I saw on T.V. where they dug up a landfill 10 years old, and had carrots that were edible, after cleaning them. they were well preserved, not decayed.
We live in the Coulbourn mill road area. We have two doctors who jogg and while out they pick up trash from the roadside. This keeps them in shape and keeps the roadside clean. If more of us did this :) There is a name for this. It was on the Doctors show last week.
Are you sure that it’s a “medium” strip? Maybe it’s a “large” strip. The word is MEDIAN!!!
That's it keep giving in to your local leaders giving more and more of your tax money away to frivalous spending. Your roads are a responsibility of state, city & county government. I guarantee the good old doctors out there picking up trash on the roads are dodging speeding, texting drivers on a regular basis. God forbid if one of them gets hit I guarantee your local government will be no where in sight to share the responsibility. Used to be the local thugs would be out picking up trash from the county detention center but now the employees and inmates are too lazy to do that anymore. I've seen the detention center van riding around pulling a trailer with a few branches in it but no significant effort to help with cleaning the roads up
I'll tell you something else about Salisbury's shopping centers. Have you noticed the blacktopped parking lots around here? Pot holes everywhere, and the blacktop is cracked, crumbling up. Right behind Chic-fil-a is a hole that I know is at least 10" deep. And another one behind McDonalds & Dunkin Donuts off Tilgman Road, their is another huge pot hole that is so big I know it will damage a front end. Have you seen the Twilley Center, or the Centre of Salisbury Mall? All of those parking lots are in total disrepair.

Are you serious 2:24? I hope the debris is thrown in your yard from now on. I try to keep a nice lawn and don't want cups and bags decaying in my Kentucky 31.

Well as for eating carrots out of the dump. Did you grow up under the power lines. Because something look edible it does not always mean that it is. Antifreeze looks like Gatorade has a big gulp of that to wash those carrots down.

I've never seen the litter problem this bad around town. We have homeless people and prisoners doing nothing. Let's put them to work.

I’m not arrogant at all. However, I will point out, that I can’t believe you are using such an inferior product as Kentucky 31. I use that crap on the lawns of my rental properties. For MY house, I ONLY use Kentucky 62. It’s twice as good.
