Health Department Shutting Down Fruitland Businesses
Without any real details we're being told a restaurant owner has been asked to shut down their business for today after yesterdays water disaster. Could it be the water is still contaminated? Hopefully after this comes out the Health Department will let the public, (and business owners) know just why they are losing so much money over the past 24+ hours.

Are we going to hear of which business? Is it for good or are they the reason for the water main break??
Residents were "told" (i.e. found out via social media) there is a contamination risk for 4 to 5 days after an incident. This would be devastating to a small restaurant or any business for that matter. Since the whole thing was caused by some yahoo digging to put in a street sign, that person/company should be held accountable for this kind of financial hardship!
No 3:35, I'm not going to expose the businesses that informed us. Because this is a fact, one would quickly surmise that ALL restaurants using Fruitland water have been advised the same.
Has the City of Fruitland disclosed the details of how the pipe was cut? Did they tell anyone that it was their own employees drilling a hole to erect a new sign? Or was it something else? If you or I or our contractor did that without calling 811 (Miss Utility) before hand, we would be held liable for damages.
CLOSE WAL-MART? Are you kidding, they are not about to do that even though the deli and meat departments need water for clean up, employees and customers use restrooms and should be washing hands afterwards, but heaven knows we can't lose that tax dollar they bring in!
One has to wonder what is polluting a puncture in a water main ? Snow Salt or do they just not know what is going on and are just covering their stupidity with precaution ? All food service establishments should have in house reverse osmosis water treatment with additional filtration.
Went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner.......CLOSED! Looked around to see Sonic's, McDonald's, Roadhouse, 213, all closed. Adam's did have cars in their parking lot, unlike the others. Wow, what a hardship on these businesses & their employees!
Hahaha in house reverse osmosis treatment this is Fruitland MD. Pathogens make their way into the water via the break. Legionella outbreak in OC is a good example.
They’re closed but I was told BMS lunch was over an hour late to even start for my kid. They did bring in fresh water for the students though so good job!

Is this because the hole. Ground that was dug. Pipes bursted and the water stopped? Was the fruitland water restored. Bennett middle?
Crack-Donalds was closed today.

It should include WalMart (no deli, no bathrooms) and every commercial place that needs water for sanitation.
I just read it was all Fruitland restaurants?!
EXACTLY!!
God willing the Wal Mart will be open.I'd hate to see everyone flock to North Pointe.
At 4:45 pm Texas Roadhouse parking was empty.
Board of health made the decision to close the restaurants not Fruitland

This is why you're not in charge
Walmart Deli in Fruitland is closed.
I am sure we will see the increse in sign installations by the Walmart or other local employees. :)

All businesses are back to normal
We drink raw well water and it's better than anything. Humans have been doing it for a million years. No need for reverse osmosis or gamma radiation.
I'm still moving there if Hillary ever gets elected, but only AFTER I stock up on bottled water.
